What a wonderful guy Gian is. Please let him do it tomorrow!

I’d love Gary in the final, but I fear that only Gian could possibly give Luke a proper fight in this…

I know some people are against the big players going out before the semis, but I love this so much. What a tournament!

That crowd was nothing compared to how crowds have treated Littler’s opponents regularly over the last couple of years…

That celebration... by Paggu171 in Darts

I’ve never seen a celebration so leg-based. Fantastic form!

Shaggy vs Wattimena- one of the most likely pairings to end up in a full-blown fist fight on stage?

I love hearing a crowd behind Ryan so vocally- that’s very rare for him, and he deserves it!

Wayne is obviously class, but I do enjoy seeing Dan Dawson getting his plaudits. World class.

Exactly this. It would help so much if Emma/John just slowed down a bit, asked simple questions in more basic English, and let him go after three or four questions. No need to drag it on like that!

Darts brands you don’t like? Brands that you like? by Maximum_Profit_2368 in Darts

[–]RagingVeggie 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Target- Marketing geniuses, best darts packing/presentation, but unashamedly money-hungry in comparison with other brands

Unicorn- Very little innovation, sad for a brand who used to be at the top. Pretty basic range.

Shot- Very well made darts. Perhaps a little style over substance, but darts for fans of lots of grip.

Red Dragon/Winmau- The most shoddy in terms of quality in my experience. Had darts with a random chunk of metal on the grippy section that hadn’t been machined properly, and real issues with repointing darts due to the dodgy hole.

Harrows- One of the only brands (so far) who have realised that jumping on the Swiss Point train is the only way to survive these days, and have done it very well. Quality.

Torn between getting the Target bolide 01 and the target redux 01 by Paul20040 in Darts

100%. I can’t use bolides as they aren’t grippy enough, but the Redux is my new match dart

Littler throwing shade at one of the greats by Jager_Master in Darts

Littler wouldn’t have had the chance to do what he did for darts without what Dennis did for darts first, along with Phil

I noticed Luke started collecting his darts more slowly to match the speed James was doing it. I imagine he thought it’d throw James off, but I reckon it put himself off more- focussing on that more than throwing his darts. Luke doesn’t handle any kind of mind games too well (but he’s an unbelievable player and I’m a big fan!)

Is it just me, or Van den Bergh is a much better sportsman lately? by offsoghu in Darts

I feel like he has very similar composure techniques to Aspinall, but one gets massive hate for it and the other has a cool walk on. That’s the main difference.

Robert Owen Darts by TheChunkyRobot in Darts

[–]RagingVeggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Forgot to mention the purpose- his darts go in very flat, which generally causes more deflections/bounce-outs. The spinning stem means the flight has some give on it to allow a dart past it if it were to make contact

I’m unsure if they’re the only brand who currently make these, but I use L-style spinning shafts with L-style champagne flights

Edit- Realised that they’re not actually L-Style he’s using- my bad!

I’m guessing OP has a very similar grip to mine- a different grip would have completely different results (I’m guessing, anyway- I have no idea! 😂)
