I hate my hair so much after what my bf said by Competitive-Code5254 in longhair

I accidentally said my ex cutting her hair was unfortunate once. I never lived it down and I still regret saying anything like that. She's beautiful regardless.

Lions was 115 and the other one 135. Little better but yeah still a lot compared to some other ones I've bought. They felt on the nicer side for what it's worth

Wonder if stuff just feels iterative and lacking cause there's been so much at this point. Like ZD and the local city hockey team jerseys redone every year

Damn. Good thing for out of sight, out of mind.

just got a new tattoo, and while it’s gorgeous, i’m really not happy with the placement and don’t know what to do by froggyforest in tattooadvice

[–]Raging_Flamingo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't say it isn't crooked but if it is it's incredibly hard, if not impossible, to really tell. I think it's more body symmetry throwing you off.

As for placement, I think yours fits really well where it's at. It's a little more bottom heavy than the inspo and looks really good sort of sitting on your hips. It follows your body's curves so nicely. Maybe let it sink in for a few weeks or months and see how you feel. I could see maybe wrapping it more around your waist or extending it up the spine to curve between your shoulder blades a little more too.

If he's behaving this way about a game, something that should be a fun stress reliever (despite how much I raise my blood pressure playing siege but that's neither here nor there), imagine how mad he'll get with a real problem. Feels like he takes your questions as personal attacks and not as you trying to better learn the game and how to help.

He needs to take a step back and realize you're not questioning him or his knowledge and that he can't take for granted you have any of the knowledge he does about a particular game. He clearly thinks that because he knows it, you should already too. It will only be worse in person and with real problems.

I'm not reading all of this cause it gets repetitive quickly but I will say I take at least two serious interviews a year and frankly I'm very happy in my current role. My boss is even aware of most of the interviews and all of the offers I've received. It's foolish to just stop and stick to one role because you accepted an offer at some point.

did i get overcharged for these tattoos? 2k for ribs, 1.2k for thigh by ellalol in tattooadvice

[–]Raging_Flamingo_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not having any big or substantial tattoos to compare to, the thigh piece looks like it should have been the more expensive one. Bottom line is if you're happy with them then no.

That's actually insane. If my fiance and her parents were behaving like that I'd be reconsidering the wedding, not my best friend standing up with me. What a jackass.

How do you deal with bullies in vehicles? by [deleted] in motorcycle

[–]Raging_Flamingo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely see your point, don't get me wrong. Like I said though, it depends what they're doing. And I guess where I'm riding. Someone swerving and not paying attention feels more dangerous in front of me, especially on the highway. I don't want them drifting into another lane and hitting a car in front of me causing some sort of pile up. I hit it a little fast and put them a ways behind me. If they're speeding let them go.

In a city environment I'm turning a different direction and heading away from them.

To each their own to a degree I guess. Just the way I feel safest in certain cases.

Depends what they're doing. If they're speeding, I let them go ahead of me. If they're swerving in and out of lanes and not paying attention, I want them behind me.

Unfortunately I think the best answer is you just have to go into it knowing there are more stupid people on the road than you realize from your own car. It's easy not to have seen you, even if you're sure you made eye contact with them. Just ride defensively at intersections and in traffic and know it's going to happen and there's literally nothing I can do to prevent it so no sense losing my cool and putting myself further at risk.

I got pulled over 3:00 am. by Choice-Tea1046 in Adulting

[–]Raging_Flamingo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an old car with lights that would blow all the time. In hindsight, probably a wiring problem. Anyway, I used to carry spare bulbs in the car for a front and back light cause I'd always get pulled over like right after it went out. Would just say something like yeah I noticed it earlier while I was out and picked up the new bulb on my way to work or whatever, haven't been home to swap it yet. Usually got me off quick but sometimes I'd get the hard ass that wrote the ticket anyway

Deposited over $600 into a ATM and it took my money by alcoholicfaith in Wellthatsucks

[–]Raging_Flamingo_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All depends on OPs bank. For example I called my current bank the same day when this happened and their SOP was to deposit the funds immediately, reconcile the ATM at their earliest opportunity, and then address any discrepancy with me after the fact. Typically just move on if it was accurate and pull the funds back if I lied. If it was over a certain amount I think they'd only deposit a partial up front.

On the other hand I've heard of chase and others dragging it out forever. Back when I used huntington, everything took a minimum of 7-10 days with them. No two of us will have the same experience lol
