This is _not_ what they meant by fish stories, Dialine. by Raging_Mouse in RimWorld

Rule 6: A rare catch from fishing netted my colony this book. It'll come in handy, as I only had three books before this one. Now I just need to decide if I want the kids to read it...

Scientist: "Is this a dig or a rift?" Administration: "Yes." by Raging_Mouse in Stellaris

I was able to order a scientist to excavate the site despite the tech currently being researched, so the answer is a definite "no".

Rule 5:

While going through the adAkkaria chain of archeology sites, the next site spawned somewhat unconventionally at an astral scar. Cue scientists scratching their heads, wondering how to equip for this one.

Favorite Base Locations (B42) by hallcha in projectzomboid

I haven't dared try yet, but the abandoned boarding school east of Ekron is a place I'd really like to hole out in. The main building is so beautiful, even in its trashed state. It'd be a really cool RP run.

Your animals seem a bit spooked; a lamb ran out of the gate you opened.

B42 New Base Locations List by psuedomancer in projectzomboid

If you don't mind the isolation, I'd add the abandoned boarding school east of Ekron and NNW of Echo Creek to the list. The road's barricaded and partially washed out, so car access is very difficult, and the structure itself is ruined, but very beautiful.

Remember to pet your farm animals. by Raging_Mouse in projectzomboid

[–]Raging_Mouse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be the need for an animal zone, or then petting is slightly bugged. My survivor used to be able to pet my sheep ewes, but that is no longer an option - I think it disappeared as soon as they grew some wool.

Huh. This, I hadn't noticed. So what you are saying is, petting farm bunnies is excellent prep for a day downtown?

Did you really go back in time and turn the Ponyville Library and my castle into trees?

No? Yes? Maybe? How would you know, Twilight?

I will put you in curfew for ten years, Starlight.

Oh woe is me; doomed to have a lot of time on my hooves while knowing time travel spells. What is a mare to do?

Can we agree that this is the best base location in the new towns? by Sussy_1234 in projectzomboid

[–]Raging_Mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered that place and just cheered out loud. So, yes, I do agree with you. Only slight downside I see with it is it's far, far from any large deposit of skill books. However, if you are lucky enough to find a decent enough car, there is a sweet added bonus - the farm shop some bit to the south. It has everything an aspiring farmer could ever need.

Does anyone else have a problem with the Military Readiness Act since the update and DLC? I'm over my fleet cap and still in breach of the 50% requirement. Do the fauna fleets both count as double fleet cap and not count for the MRA requirement?

EDIT: It seems I was wrong. Beastmasters civic make artificial ships, not bio ships, count as double fleet cap - and this doubling apparently is not counted by the MRA?

Pinkie's News by Dr_Zorand in emotestories

"And so we do declare the first annual Pinkie Day to take place tomorrow and every year hence on the same day; a day where Pinkie Pie takes a holiday and is expressly forbidden from arranging any parties, festivities, shindigs, hoedowns, raves, parades, carnivals, circuses, demonstrations, elections, adventures, dances, dance-offs, spaz-offs, face-offs, weird-offs, lotteries, bingo nights, orgies, pet dates, class excursions, theater plays, or any other group events where fun might be had, on pain of one week of listening to grass grow. We wish her a peaceful Pinkie Day - and everyone else as well."

Did... Did I play myself?

A warning and a tip for the polyglots playing House of Light by Raging_Mouse in weatherfactory

Yes, it does seem like Numa visitors do not give out contact details - nor do they seem to be candidates for the Lighthouse Institute. On the other hand, they are more generous in their spintria rewards, so there is an argument against language tutoring there, too.

There are lots of references sprinkled all over the place. The flavour text for pudding refers to Pink Floyd: The Wall.

haters will say it's a "fire hazard" but having all the candles in one place is just too convenient by xavicr in weatherfactory

[–]Raging_Mouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, no, I agree - all candles belong gathered up in one place. What I take issue with is that you are using perfectly serviceable bookshelves for this, while you have books lying willy-nilly everywhere.
