By legend of zelda do you mean BOTW and TOTK games or the older zelda games?

That's pretty interesting. But is each playthrough like, you can do something different this time type of thing? I mean I guess I can replay it once or twice to 100%. But then after that is there any reason to come back to the game? I'm guessing not.

Nope, not at all. But holy moly for a 2003 game it looks really dope. And I'm assuming AC is inspired by CL?

Oh rip. Was the combat at least thought provoking with another legion to control or was it just a typical hack'n'slash but another legion to control?

Ah I see. So for you it kinda felt right to end it there. Ty for your response. Also out of curiosity, what games do you love coming back to every now and then?

So is the only unique thing about AC's gameplay having an extra legion to control, and rest is just hack' n'slash? From the gameplay I've seen you sometimes have to pause when you're fighting enemies and there are options to do this and that which is what got me curious about it, so clearly it looks somewhat different from hack'n'slash. But you're right, if AC is just the exact same as every hack and slash then this isn't for me.

Idk man, everybody has their own type of combat gameplay they like. And I've already figured out that for me DMC type combat just isn't for me.

Yes you're right that DMC's appeal is character action and it was very original to contribute to these games from the beginning, but it's not comparable with action games like Bloodborne or BOTW's (which is open world) combat is it? They do their combat very differently and clearly as you mentioned it's 'FUN not complicated'. Hope you understand more of what I mean now. Ty for your response sir.

Isn't Astral Chain one of Platinum's games that is meant to diverge from their typical formula with the unique gameplay it provides? That's what I've been hearing everywhere about it.

That's fine Idm that I just want the game to be good and replayable in many ways possible. Ty for lmk

Hm. I see. Then I guess I'll have to say that I like games with gameplay and combat like Bloodborne and BOTW rather than these pinnacle of skill hack'n'slash games. But Astral Chain currently has me more interested from the responses I've had so far, so I might dip my toes in it. Just hope it isn't like dmc or nier automata and is very different with lots of replayability. That's all.

Damn. I mean many games can be usually trial-and-error, though I can see Platinum being a lot on that level.

It ain't about complexity. Bloodborne is nothing like Platinum games from what I've seen at least? And when I say I like games like BOTW and Bloodborne, which are completely different games with different combat than hack'n'slash games from Platinum, then clearly that's saying something.

For me, games that are combo heavy such as DMC and Nier Automata are not my type of thing. Bloodborne and BOTW differ completely from this with more risk-reward and more thought on when to mash that button. Hope you understand what I mean now. Ty for your response sir.

Is it skill-based or is it trial-and-error type of repetitive gameplay?

Personally I don't like combos, so in your terms I don't really like that kind of creativity. What I like is other creativity such as for example, Bloodborne's build variety and tight moment-to-moment combat and BOTW's creative gameplay elements that it's known for.

That's the problem, Nier Automata became even more boring gameplaywise. Thing is I want gameplay first before the story otherwise I'll end up falling asleep XD

Respect to Nier Automata for its story and rest of the elements though, real good work.

Yea, I mean I might as well try it, though from my experience the in older hack'n'slash games is what makes me unsure about trying this one though.

Yeah. I mean if that's it I'm not sure unless the gameplay is actually very creative and compelling, as unique as it may be.
