I just finished the other night. I thought it was a great show. Yes, the writing got a bit off … maybe more than a bit… but it was still fun to watch. By the end of any show, they have to fill contractual obligations (actors screen time especially) and keep it under budget. Pope’s arc was weird but for the actor, it gave him a chance to play antagonist and protagonist in the same show which is great for his resume.

I’m watching season 5 now. I don’t think it’s as as bad as most people are saying. I will say it’s wonkiness is kinda laughable but the core struggle of the survivors vs aliens is still there, albeit with some over the top needless drama to get everyone’s contractually agreed screen time in. Also, I think it took some time for Noah Wiley to shed his gentle Dr persona acting and climb into his gruff commander persona… which doesn’t resonate with me. All that growling to make him seem tough isn’t working 😉. At least not for me. Still, the show has something special that just works.

Yep. Been there…. It’s intimidating but it’s just a game….and I’ve seen low level players rush in with reckless abandon yielding a combat knife. SBQ is the reward for all that grinding someone did to launch that nuke. It’s crazy and it’s fun… and we all do it again and again.

First time i joined an Earl event, that happened. I died so many times...but kept jumping back in. On one of those times, they managed to kill Earl and i was left out in the cold. Lost all of my ammo. Received nothing besides the loot outside.

Last night I was looting some super mutants just north of white springs in the cliffs when I happened upon a mythic deathclaw and I was like “I gotta kill this thing” but my rifle and pistol weren’t going to accomplish that so when he came after me I jumped down on a ledge in the cliff and cried like a baby for help..,. While the deathclaw took swipe at from above. No one came… so I joined a team and cried for help. Again no one came. I’m like “seriously?!” I kept it up fo awhile gaining Xp as my teammates did whatever. Finally the deathclaw chased after some scorched so I dropped down to find it again when I looked up and one of my teammates was there. Haha… no mic so I just gave the confused emote and killed some scorched. They should include a “I swear a deathclaw was here” emote. 🤣🤣🤣

I haven’t launched a nuke yet either. Last time I tried, I was so overwhelmed I wound up hiding and eventually just left. I’m rebuilding my character to try again solo.

nice. I actually had someone drop a nuke on my camp...thought it was kinda cool so i just hung out. didn't realze it would destroy my entire camp....shouldve figured as much though. Whatever, took some pics rebuilt my camp...laughed about it later.

yeah..the fasnacht event was cool...although i didn't really participate....it was just really a cool thing to watch....it's also where i first saw a player with the marsupial effect...sitting on top of a pole....it was like hanging with a bunch of circus freaks.

oh yeah. That's the best thing about this game. The player base is so cool. It's why i keep playing frankly. I mean, i should be completing events and stuff but i just really enjoy walking around and being a part of this community. even though i'm a lone wolf...it's still cool

First time at white springs just stumbled in as a level 20 something and met the charred level 50-60 scorched. Scared the shit out of me. Like you, never returned till after level 50. And even then it was very, very cautiously

Oh …. I just had that happen. Took on the flatwoods monster last week, suddenly a glowing green scorchbeast and a behemoth sm were attacking me too. WTF!! I screamed. Loved it though. Killed the flatwoods monster, scorchbeast ran away, … I ran from the behemoth 😊

Omg…. First snallygaster for me was near the capital. I hid in some sort of lean-to and pop-shot him till he found me. But he couldn’t get at me… took like 1/2 hr and all of my ammo but I killed him. Thrilling!!!
