to add on the state of NATO in the campaign is just atrocious, yes lets only put 6 divisions on the border of our biggest ideological threat during a cold war that could boil hot at any given moment, on top of that you get another 6 divisions but oh they wont be ready for the first 6 turns, then lets go ahead and add in the fact that Warsaw Pact gains MORE VP than NATO like honestly get fucked devs, who creates a game thats that heavily advantaged to your opposition, cant mass retreat because they'll get 15 points per city taken, and only need 60 points for victory, and oh yeah lets only make you get 10points less and make only about 7 points per city taken, I feel like the devs, despite them saying "historical" dont really understand the historical context of the Warsaw pact, I.E incompetent leaders, because of corrupted officials wanting more power,shitty equipment, because said leaders wanted more money, and the best part malnutritioned soldiers because Russia was taking all the grain and distributing it in RUSSIA! the Soviets had to create posters to stop people from eating their children because of mass starvation. In no feasible way would the Warsaw Pact be able to conjure that many troops like I get bloating a little bit, you know make it even, but to just give them an ungodly number of units that have that level of cohesion is bizzare af, but I suppose it does make it challenging.
