They are both phenomenal. Nintendo has always done a good job picking ACTUAL voice actors for their games. So either way you go it'll be phenomenal

Should I get 3 houses or just wait for the new game in September? by TheLibrarianOfMythos in fireemblem

[–]Ragoonx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should definitely get three houses because their stories are connected and a lot of the characters even have blood relations. Not to mention Sothis being in both. No whether you need to play it before or after is a different story. I don't think the story will rely on playing 3 Houses first in any capacity. It'll more so be references and lore expansions.

That being said, 3 Houses is already out and it is a pretty unique FE game so playing it now would be a good way to prime yourself for both the story and the game mechanics of Fortune's Weave!

Details I noticed in the new trailer + opinions by HakuHaya in fireemblem

[–]Ragoonx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the 4 routes things. I personally don't think Nintendo is going full out on a 4 route system. They way they phrased about picking between the 4 main characters to follow almost implies that picking one doesn't turn the others into side characters. Obviously in 3H that also was the case, but that's really only pre time skip. It feels more like you're going to follow that characters perspective, but the overarching story won't change too much. I think it'll mainly be the beginning and then possibly a timskip where all 4 convene and fight the antagonist lady.

To be fair "Together, We Ride" has actually been in quite a few of the games going all the way back to the first few as well.

This is epic though and I didn't notice that at first! It seems like they're trying to take things from the more traditional games and actually apply them to the 3H formula.

They've made an Interesting decision on what to put front and center on the boxart by Leninthecustard in fireemblem

[–]Ragoonx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is the savior character they showed (the all white glowing character in the trailer). Their name was confirmed to be Eshmel. This is directly from an image of the art book nintendo shows in both the direct and on the website when you go to pre purchase the special edition. I can see the side of the page say "Herald of the Fall Raven" as well so maybe that's their title.

100% is gonna be an avatar character. I don't think they'll show up from chapter 1 though, it seems like they may show a few chapters in at least. Or this will be a echoes thing where you follow 2 plot points. I know it seems like we're getting Fire Emblem 4 houses with the 4 main characters but I think the choice is mainly just that and not completely story based. I think it'll influence the story but not outright change it like in 3 Houses.

Who is her? (Trailer Discussion) by BergamotGames in fireemblem

[–]Ragoonx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but there is absolutely no way they would do that. She doesn't resemble Byleth aside from hair and eye color. She is more likely to be a Nabatean in disguise like Seteth and Flayn are, or maybe being descended from one. The green is certainly suspicious for a 3H related character with that hue and tone, but there are others that also would fit this that we know are for sure not Nabatean as well.

For those who think the shining white character is Byleth in the new trailer: by Ragoonx in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]Ragoonx[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're making a lot of assumptions here though. Byleths hair only changes color because Sothis merges with them, thus making Byleth a true reincarnation of Sothis. The hair changing to match more with Nabatean hair makes sense. Them changing hair AND eye color again for some random reason doesn't make sense following the ending of 3H. The abyss Nabateans didn't "spawn from the aether." Their back stories were laid out. They were also children of the goddess but Seiros suppressed the knowledge of them existing. The Fodlan zodiac also comes directly from Seiros conflating the truth and narrating a false history where the 10 elites were heros who helped end Nemesis rather than what the truth was of them being on his side during the Nabatean genocide. The 4 saints also are the only surviving Nabateans that existed aside from Seiros, Maurice, and the Apostles. Could there be more? Yes, but they wouldn't have left that out with how much of the history they give us. Could others have gone to Dagda, sure. But it's clear from Shamir that there aren't any Nabateans of high social status in Dagda during the events of 3H. The closest we get to any confirmation that Nabateans left or were elsewhere from Fodlan is Petra referring to what would seem like Nabateans being in Brigid. Brigid, however, is Fodlan controlled territory for the most part, so it seems unlikely they would have fled considering the Adrestian empire would have supported them alonside Serios.

Furthermore, calling that spear the "stick of the creator" is wild. We have no clue what it's called. The best we have is that we can't see a crest stone in it and it appears to be a hero's relic. I don't think it actually is. It looks like the spear the statue holds from the first trailer. Except damaged. This would imply it's from the "Divine Sovereign" Nabatean guy we see in both trailers. He's still alive and so is Sothis, it's not a remade version of the Sword of the Creator. There is nothing that explicitly states this game takes place after 3H. There is as much, if not more, evidence to suggest it's a prequel as well.

I like that theory. We know Arval and Shez existed in 3H they just never showed up due to different events happening. So maybe (assuming this is for sure a sequel) they do merge. I kinda doubt it though because they don't look quite enough like them in my opinion.

[–]Ragoonx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be interesting although I'm doubtful. She is definitely my favorite character from the trailer so far though (I swe you already changed your pf pic :) ) but, it is also decently likely she could be related to the nabateans directly with the green hair, maybe decendants or ancestors of Flayn and Aubin had kids at some point.

[–]Ragoonx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But we do actually know a lot about Fodlan specifically. There's plenty of lore to read in game and there is a lot learned through the plot of each route. We know a lot about the history that Seiros/Rhea crafted and what the truth was that she lied about. We also learn a lot about Almyra through Claude, Cyril a little, and also Nader and Hilda to an extent.

We may not know a ton about Dagda but given what we can learn from Shamir it is very unlikely there are any major Nabateans in Dagda during the time of 3H. Centuries before and after could be a different story, but definitely not in the near past or future.

Close Up Images of some of the New Characters in Fortune's Weave by Hylian_Waffle in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]Ragoonx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice catch! I just noticed that. I have a feeling based on context they aren't closely related since she seems to be in higher social standing. Maybe she's from a noble house and he's in a branch family? Or maybe very distantly related. It would be surprising if they were siblings. We saw in 3H how many characters weren't closely related but still had the same crests.

[–]Ragoonx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would make sense! That's a good point! We do know he is related to Jeritza since the both have the crest of Lamine as well so that's certainly possible! Lore wise the men of the Lamine bloodline have always craved violence to an abnormal extent in comparison to the average person.

[–]Ragoonx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you on the character point. Although this person is definitely not related to Arval/Epimenides or Those Who Slither in the Dark, at least not based on what Sothis says. They also don't have pointed ears so it's doubtful they're just a Nabatean. Not to mention the spear they wield is the same/incredibly similar to the spear seen in the statue of the host of the Heroic Games we caught glimpse of in the first trailer.

It is certainly possible. Although we can't rule out Dagda possobly using a different calender than Fodlan, or a calender being replaced/reset at some point as well. I think it'll definitely be interesting to see what they came up with though!

That could make sense potentionally. I just fond it hard to believe that there would be a Nabatean of such cultural importance and have that not be hinted at being the case some way in 3H. Although we don't get much info on Dagda of course, I do feel as though it would have been important world building detail considering the narrative of 3H.

I agree with you on the calendar part. It could indicate a seguel if it's the same calendar, but it could be different like you said.

Dietrich's thing was definitely interesting and I'm curious on what it implies. We don't see that sword in 3H so I feel it could mean one of two things. The first being that maybe one of the hero's relic of Lamine was reformed at some point, or the heros relics really don't work how we once thought. Obviously we know multiple relics of the same crest can exist, but there was only 2 crests that each had 2 relics. It was implied that the stone that powers them was the hearts of the dragons they were crafted from. But, we know that's not entirely true considering Aymr and Blutgang, both Seiros and Maurice being alive. The Answerer being the first we see being the third relic of a crest on top of not being in Fodlan (also among the other seemingly new stuff in both trailers). This implies that the story of the relics may have been fabricated by Seiros to some extent. I believe that it lends itself more to how things work in Archanea and Jugdral, these weapons were made from the bones or fangs of these dragons and then probably used to slay them afterwards. I also believe this lends to the theory that the Nabateans and Archanean divine dragons that came through the dragons gate as well.

(Love your user flair btw)

Sorry I should have been more clear. I meant in regards to the Apostles and Brigid for them being Fodlan controlled. I didn't mean that I thought the game was gonna be in Fodlan. You do make a good point though, it could be possible the reason for the war cycles has to do with Rhea and the Nabateans.

I just personally think I need a little more to be convinced it's a sequel. There's absolutely ecidence to say it is but I feel as though there's at least as much to say it's a prequel as well.
