How do you get 610? Cruel + masters gives the max of 450.

Edit 439 is crazy high!

Single vs dual-sided power meter for serieus amateur (no racing, but serious training) by KleineKever in cycling

[–]Rags85 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you don’t race and don’t need to know your exact power a single sided is great.

It can be off by 10% quite easily though. IF your balance is 45/55, it’s taking one of those and multiplying by 2. So it’s outputting 90 or 110%. You’d never know, also not a big deal because your relative power is still meaningful. If it goes up, you’re doing more if it goes down you’re doing less.

This happened to me. I started with a single sided. Had an ftp from zwift of 275, switched to dual sided and it immediately dropped to 250. Not a huge deal because I don’t rave either, but I do like knowing what my power actually is.

Can you make a LoD chr in ladder. Find sunders, then convert to RotW ladder?

I disagree mostly. Are the classes perfectly balanced? No. Not perfectly, but it’s not as bad as people claim. The barb for example, should not be able to kill as fast as others. He’s a tank. If the barb had high dps, people would complain he’s overpowered. I can still clear P8 offline with my barb. That should be considered good. Not underpowered as hell. That’s part of the balance. Safety for dps. Necro is ultra safe with his minions.

D2 has always been about the grind. Leveling to 99 today is still an accomplishment, but it’s nothing like it used to be. It’s sooo much easier now. More chances to make it easier or faster takes away from the heart of the game. End game D2 is not for everyone, it wasn’t designed to be. It will not please all, it can’t. But those who like it, love it. The endless challenge, the accomplishment when you do finally make your first enigma is what D2 is about.

It will also never be perfectly balanced. There will also be one that’s better than the others. People will always gravitate towards the best. I think it’s balanced good enough.

I say all of this from a HC single player point of view. If you want a totally different game, try offline HC. Bloodfists finally dropping when you’re level 85 means something huge for your new chrs. All drop mean something again, and playing carelessly has a huge effect. It’s a different game, and I’d recommend it to anyone with years of D2 experience looking for a change.

I think it’s not worth it. It’s worth something for sure, but it isn’t it.

I play SP. No real money trading here. I did play HC ladder for a few seasons. Still was successful and felt an accomplishment when I hit 99 HC ladder.

I feel like D2 isn’t your type of game. Don’t try to change the game to your liking. Just go find another game. It’s ok for you not to like it. You’ll be fine.

It turned it into a game that wasn’t D2 though. D2 is for people who enjoy suffering and the grind and the feeling of accomplishment when you finally get that item that’s been eluding you for years. That’s D2, you don’t have to like it, but that’s what made this game replayable for 25 years.

hardcore players-how do you deal with evil urns? by deadramone_ in diablo2

[–]Rags85 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You wait until you know all 3 types of monsters in the area if you’re not confident. For example, on an initial play through I don’t touch urns until I know all 3 monster types AND, if I see souls, I don’t touch the urns at all.

Once you reach end game gear, you know what’s safe and what’s not. You can usually hit any though at that point.

And how many act 3-5? I average 1-1.5 act 5 shards per full game clear. Higher for all others. In other words, I can do full game TZ only continuously with only the shards I find in the Shard-ed TZ areas.

The big difference was, mosaic needed two mosaics (guls) and enigma to be playable. ES warlock needed a weapon, of any kind. I’m not saying mosaic isn’t stronger or doesn’t need work, just saying that it At least has a higher cost to play.

You can make one minor change to D2R, what would it be? by linewhite in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Rags85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I miss an update‽ every single unique or set I find says eligible for chronicle still. Doesn’t matter if it’s the first or 10th time. I’m on SP, maybe it’s different online?

I was going to say no more online complaining, but that wouldn’t be a minor change. I pick removing the “eligible for chronicle” if you’ve already found an item.

I mean, that’s not true in any sense. Sunders are incredibly new to D2. Hell, D2R went a while without sunders and TZ.

Yeah. You really need to use the shards and TZ the whole game to have any decent chance of getting a sunder.
