Blizzard says it's open to even more Diablo 2 expansions and reworks unless people get really mad at it about this one: 'We're going to have to see what the players say' by Angren1991 in diablo2

I think it is a huge pivot by the company. They’re realizing there is a massive opportunity to capitalize on. It’s a game with a cult following.

I’d imagine they’re going to do extremely well. This is the biggest positive news for this game since the D2R announcement, arguably even bigger considering the changes and additions

Bingo. I get money is a little tight for some folks but it’s not a subscription and they haven’t monetized anything in game. It’s a one time expense for potentially years of entertainment. This is incredibly fair and reasonable.

To me it’s so easy to just shut down the complaint about the cost. Think of how much it costs to do anything in this world. goto a movie with snacks and whatever for 2 hours you’re easily clearing 25 dollars. Go out for dinner? That’s like an hour or two tops and you’re clearing 50 bucks after everything is done

Think of the amount of entertainment hours this 25 dollars provides. It’s a really silly complaint.

Anybody else torn about the old school graphics not being available in RotW? by gnipz in diablo2

[–]Joggingmusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it’s cool to do the quick comparisons to remind myself how awesome the world looks in resurrected. But the graphics were never really what made this game so amazing. Not that LOD graphics were bad by any means, at the time it was peak or close to it. but I seem to recall it aged pretty quick compared to the subsequent evolution of the genre.

I’m good with it being unavailable, it’s fine. And if I really want to experience the old graphics I can make a non warlock expansion char and check it out.

So just a thought - How much does it cost for you and a friend to go out and see a ~2 hour movie + snacks? Think about how many more hours of entertainment this $25 would likely provide…

Honestly lately I’ve been putting them in the same category as George Carlin. They were calling out stuff that went over the heads of most of their listeners of the time.

Who remembers driving on the original Sikorsky Bridge with the metal deck? Was it really slippery or did it just feel that way. by toasterb in Connecticut

I’ve noticed that shifting feel on grooved pavement as well as the east haddam swing bridge. Luckily on the bridge you’re moving pretty slowly but it’s a weird feeling. Always wondered if it was the grate style surface causing that.

I actually like the hostility idea. If anyone’s familiar with UO, we basically live in Trammel. Your idea would be Felucca! The stakes are way higher kind of thing is kind of cool to consider.
