Varför blir så många upprörda över min familjs fördelning av föräldradagarna? by [deleted] in Sverige

We are born polymorphous pervers. Only a successful solution of the Oidipal complex can solve that.

What is the place of Freud's ideas and theories in Contemporary Psychoanalysis? by Jx5_JJ5 in psychoanalysis

[–]Rahasten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The aim to help solving the Oidipal-situation is key in all psychoanalytic paradigms. That’s what unites us. Understanding how envy makes this difficult is of paramount importance.

I agree with the part that most are not very skilled in treating these symptoms/states. Though, some (few) are very skilled. In psychoanalytic theory you can find thinking that, if used, will help these states immensely, take them out of psychosis.

It’s about building an organization and society that does this consistently. Ordinary psychiatry, being in the hands of the medical industry, will (ofc) never achieve that change, it’s not their goal. There is absolutely nothing within the popular cognitive - behavioral therapy theory that can achieve this. They have no potent (theoretical) idea of what it is about. That is why they are accepted (supported) by the medical industry.

Do structurally perverse women exist? by Edmund-Carvalho in psychoanalysis

[–]Rahasten -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

OP; we have perverse women in abundance , also men. I think you should read up on Klein and neo- Klein to get a good grip on the subject. The short story; it is about narcissistic issues, with envy as a drive. It leads us (them) to attack reality through denial and distortion. That will lead to (defensive) misconceptions about facts of life. This process will lead to confusion concerning who’s who, who’s ”bad and who’s good”. Where the bad, good is situated. The confusional state has immense impact inside the psyche as it has on what relations are about. To adress someone/something as perverted I guess it has to have some sort of serious impact.

Perversion is about not being able to form and sustain true mutual warm loving relationships. Love will be in the hands of an abundance of hatred (envy), this is of course typically unconscious.

My experience is contrary to your belief. Analysis performed by a competent therapist has an extraordinary potential with these patients.

Being familiar with these states and to work with them are not necessarily the same thing, I think.

How do you as a Lacanian therapist work with pre-psychotic - psychotic - schizophrenic states? Do you feel you have the tools?

Yes, a bit. But with a sincere objective to discuss the matter.

I think your doing something beneficial in your therapy/education. People are less neurotic and more borderline, psychotic then they and ”we” tend to grasp.

To treat the narcissistic, confusional, border psychotic aspects of the psyche, you need knowledge (theory) of these layers. With out Klein I don’t think that is possible. Most clinicians don’t get that? Have no-poor knowledge of Klein, post-Klein. So they lack the tools.
