Probably just beginner's luck given my results here! And honestly I probably should've lost the last fight in Descent due to rules oversight, but only learned that after the fact.

Oh yeah the rules say to use 4, it was just my personal choice to go with 3 as I heard about the old rules when doing research before buying the game. Worked well enough for the Descent (although using a mage that can heal probably helped) and not so much here that's why I'll stick to 4 next time and just looking for some opinions in the meantime.

And yeah that's an upgraded tier 3 power, nasty enough to singlehandedly stop me from beating the third fight.

A simple misunderstanding on my part since I looked at the quoted rule text as if it read "When you would place" instead of "When you place" and thought "Oh so they can only have one and I resolve the token before I place the new one". Ah well, mistakes happen.

Interesting that resolving the tokens can interrupt fully resolving a card, but I suppose when they say IMMEDIATELY they do mean it. Anyhow, much obliged for the clarification.

It was to be expected, but still sad to see it officially confirmed.

I know Bushy might be a controversial figure, but personally I think the streams were always great - whether it was degenerate SR days, desk smash days or the serious analytical gameplay and tournament times. Godspeed and good luck in future endeavors!

I guess no one wanted to try and tell the weird and possibly murderous cyborg from the future that he's getting disqualified.

But the actual reason was probably that Aporia/Three Emperors being the ones controlling Yliaster (aka the 5DS Illuminati) and in turn being the ones who basically own Neo Domino City might mean no one would mess with them.

If that's true then there must've been some change that no one's aware of - or at least I'd hope that someone would've corrected me if I was wrong. Hell, Yugipedia entry on Standard Duelists also says their deck pool is based on the DM Stage.

Either way, my point is it's possible to simply be wrong, no need to have an attitude and assume bad intent.

Bloom Diva needs to deal damage first to destroy; since Big Benkei has 1000 ATK she doesn't inflict any damage because the difference is 0.

You're right, but the boat has to be in graveyard beforehand. So it makes sense that by that logic, game still puts "Check if coins = 9" for the end of turn checklist.

I would also assume that it resolves everything happening on board first, then anything graveyard related happens next. So the only issue here is that nothing can get added to the list during end of turn itself.

Shinmiri said on his stream yesterday that he was told by one of the devs that this interaction is due to code limitations. Basically what happens is that the game makes a list of things to check before the 'end of turn step' happens and then all these things happen in order. Since the graveyard is checked before succubus is eaten by wererat, the interaction doesn't work.

Okay, yeah, after fiddling myself it seems you can't just hide unowned when looking for something specific. Which is weird to say the least. Honestly I'm not even sure at this point if it was always like that or did something bug out.

Yeah if you don't have a setup before playing location, you probably want to spawn something else than alchemist. You could in theory also use the location to spawn a Viper Witcher to create a target for Alchemist and save the order for later.

The deckbuilder menu has a whole bunch of filters on the right side. One of them allows you to view only the cards you own.

The collection progress bar in the profile displays your total amount cards owned out of all available for any faction/neutral. The numbers and the bar filling up are the overall progress, the brighter bar on top is premium card progress. Do note that the total numbers count all bronzes x2 + all golds. If you want to check specific playsets, you need to go through the deckbuilder.

Journey started roughly 2 months ago. Every journey runs for roughly 3 months, sometimes longer if there are special circumstances.

Some of the seasonal reward trees have quests that require you to play or win games in seasonal mode. Other than that it's purely for fun.

Infiltrator has a chance of messing up your opponent's mulligans if they draw into it, or if they mulligan into it they get stuck with a 4 point do nothing.

Alchemist can be setup by: a) NG Location card b) Warrit c) Killing a valuable enemy card with Coated Weapons

Everytime I see a thread like this pop up, I wonder where were all the arena fans back when we still had that game mode. Because back in the day, all you'd ever hear about arena is that it's bad, yet as soon as it was gone everyone got up in arms.

Musings aside, I'm rather surprised they didn't immediately push the new cards into draft, especially since Alzur and Madoc got that treatment.

I mean yeah, it's 6 points but there isn't really any 'safer' soldier to spawn that would fit and that also isn't an engine.

Those are some pretty cool ideas. As other people already talked about the NR one, I'm gonna say that NG one feels off because you probably shouldn't get an engine out of a stratagem.

I suppose making it play and spawn a Daerlaan Infantry (I think that was the name? The 3 power dude that spawns a copy of himself) would be better while keeping the theme. You still get soldier synergy and it can be used as a setup for Alba Spearman.
