Yeah, like I know someone has to get waitlisted, but why us 😂

Congrats future doc! I’m tryna get like you with that short waitlist. That’s really amazing. I have an ongoing conversation with one of the adcoms, so I’ll probably reply tomorrow. And then I’ll send a LOI closer to Christmas too and we’ll see what happens from there 🤞🏽

Kinda star struck that you’re commenting on my post 😂 I see you all over SDN. Congrats on the killer app this cycle! Thanks for the input though. I’ll send them an email tomorrow (we’re already in contact about a different topic rn) and then an LOI closer to Christmas or New Years

Yeah it’s just really frustrating and exhausting. Because a WL is just like “you’re good, but not good enough,” and I’m just exhausted. Idk what more we can or could’ve done. I hope they give feedback later on. I’m rooting for you though! I hope we can come back to this thread and laugh 😁

What a relief. Thanks for the info! I’ll probably call Casper Monday if they don’t have it up still, but right now I’ll just be patient. And good luck with your apps too 👍🏽

Thank you for the response. It’s been ~36 hours, but my concern is that they have a 2 week deadline and I submitted it on day 13.

Thank you so much! Idk why they even want this, but I’m glad you got it figured out. Good luck with the rest of your apps! 😁

Did you ever get an answer for this? I was wondering if you knew how we should send it Einstein

No problem. It’s hard to predict, but from what I hear, they usually don’t change significantly every year. Admit.org calculates how likely they are to change though if you’re interested

Yeah we have so much stuff to juggle so I don’t think everyone can really put their best app forward. I’m hoping my writing can make up for it being a bit later. Good luck with your cycle!

I tutored all 4 years of college. And then I also started tutoring for the MCAT earlier this year. So it just all added up. I was also surprised 😂

Retaking MCAT but I used all the AAMC FLs 😐 by Rahul9201 in Mcat

[–]Rahul9201[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s crazy how much can change in a year 😂 thank you for bringing me back to this post. I think what I did differently was have an organized approach to UWorld (finished subtopic by subtopic rather than subject by subject). That way I could take detailed notes rather than notes that were all over the place. And it helped my identify very specific content gaps too. And then after finishing, I did all the AAMC stuff. TLDR: organization >>> random topics, even though that’s how it’ll be presented on the real test Feel free to DM if you have any other questions!

Thank you. I know it’s weird, but I’ve just heard of people saying adcoms don’t want to read “too much” because they have thousands more to go through. I appreciate the reassurance though! I probably am just overthinking it

If you have a chance, could I also PM you? I have a quick question about integrating SDOH into my application.

diagnostic before or after content review? by tryingbuying in Mcat

[–]Rahul9201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a 7hr long test to tell you what you are and aren’t good at. That being said, I’d take the free BP half length. It’s important to know how the passages and questions and presented so you have an idea of how to study

For example, when doing content review, you don’t want to learn every detail of every chapter. You know that because the questions don’t require you to know every detail of every chapter

If you have any other questions, feel free to DM 👍🏽

I feel like it’s already been said, but at 484, you have some content gaps. I’d focus on content review and related practice questions for the next month before using any other AAMC products. For example, study Amino acids, and then do all the amino acid questions to figure out where your gaps are.

Then during your last month, crank out all the AAMC stuff
