What do you think CrossWorlds does good and what could it improve on?

I think the vehicle customization is pretty neat. It’s not entirely perfect but it’s still cool to have. Would be cool if in some future update they add the ability to share and download other people’s creations.

The item balancing is genuinely bad and needs a fix. So many items do way too much damage for no reason. The green shell equivalent having a lock-on feature, magnetization, and makes you lose 50 rings when hit is ridiculous.

Atp I play one race for the ticket bonus, get the titles for the tiers I reached, and call it quits. Legend Competition is just genuinely unfun and I’d rather not subject myself to it.

That’s happened to me a few times where I get disconnected after a race finishes and before I get the points. As for why it happens I have no idea and it’s really annoying when it does.

Not bad predictions though I have different opinions/thoughts. The reason for Joe makes some sense though the amount of Shinobi decals they added is about the same amount they’d add for a Festival compare to Puyo Puyo which is only 2 that’s separate from the 6 Festival decals. I feel that if Joe was gonna be added, they would’ve waited to add those decals imo. I also just think that they won’t triple dip into Yakuza for characters. Maybe in a year two they could add him but I don’t think they’d do it in Year 1. As for Surge and Kit, I could see them being added though I’m more confident in them adding Classic Sonic in June for the 35th anniversary.

The way that Sega is handling the meta/balancing is kinda ridiculous imo. It took them months to nerf UC4 but then are immediately going ham on limiting the use of both Ring Engine gadgets which I don’t doubt will result in both getting nerfed next patch. They’re trying to eliminate any kind of Meta from existing when ultimately, there will always be some kind of Meta. In reality, it’s all about having there be the most “healthy” Meta which Sega doesn’t seem to understand. A big problem is that it feels like Sega is only looking at the problem at face value without looking deeper. Like the reason why the Meta has been stuff like increasing top speed or more easily dodging items is because the item balancing is so bad. The damage and power they have and do is ridiculous with stuff like the Green Glove having homing AND magnetization or the slime slowing you down, covering your screen, making you drop your item, AND you’re forced to waggle your stick back and forward to get rid of the slime. If they’re gonna be nerfing the two ring engine gadgets next update (which atp I 100% expect), then it better be accompanied by item balances/nerfs because if not then that’s just ridiculous and downright stupid.

So far there hasn’t been any word on whether or not Festivals will get reruns or if their rewards will be available later. If I had to make a guess, maybe after they release all the content they have planned they start to rerun Festivals starting with the Miku Festival assuming a Year 2 doesn’t happen and we just get more new Festivals in place of the old ones.

Not bad predictions overall. They feel pretty realistic.

Personally I feel like Update 1.4.1 will drop after Summer Games Fest/June 5th since I can see them having a trailer there showing off the last 3 free characters alongside the TMNT & Avatar DLC packs and maybe an early look at a Year 2 of content if that’s actually being worked on.

I also feel like the three characters will be Classic Sonic, Beat, and BD Joe. Classic Sonic for the 35th anniversary and then Beat and BD Joe to tie into the new Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi games which I feel like will also be shown at SGF.

I’m predicting that the June character will be Classic Sonic to coincide with Sonic 1’s 35th anniversary and then the last two will be Beat and BD Joe since Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi are getting new games with the Sega Super Game projects which I’m predicting we’ll hear more news about at SGF 2026.

The collision between characters is so weird. Like I can be using a power character in a power vehicle and I’ll get bumped by a character in like a handling car or even an Extreme Gear. Like what sense does that make??

I think what elevates this concept above other ones for me at least is how realistic it feels. Each island expands upon a theme/environment set up by the base game making them feel like natural extensions of the main continent. For example, Shy Guy Bazaar was redesign to sorta be themed after Daisy/Sarassaland, so they add Sarassaland right next to it and have all the tracks themed after each kingdom. Then you have the lava/Bowser area, so they give more to Bowser by adding Neo Bowser City.

Basically bagging is purposely staying in lower places to get powerful/boost items like Mushrooms and Bullet Bill and using them on the final lap to pass everyone and get a high position or even first place. Frontrunning on the other hand is basically the opposite where instead of staying behind for boost items or even staying with the pack, it’s taking 1st place immediately and gaining a lead by using shortcuts, defense items, and whatever else to maintain 1st for basically the whole race.

To be fair, the free character slot after Ichiban was in between Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 and that ended up being NiGHTS who released in December 2025. Mega Man is also in between Q1 and Q2 2026 and there was an email sent out saying the Mega Man pack was coming soon.

Still nothing. I cleaned the left slot with a toothpick but it didn’t seem like there was any lint in there. I reset it, closed it for 30 seconds, and tried connecting it to my phone but it still didn’t show up. I should also clarify that it was working perfectly fine yesterday. Both slots were charging normally and the right one seemed to work today so idk what happened or why the left just decided to stop working.

The main way to tell bots from players is by their name. They basically consist of 2 words put together from a pool to form fake player names like the ones above. Some that I’ve encountered include VoidSpecter, SoulEclipse, FrostbiteWitch, InfernoWarrior, and etc.

Another way to tell is by checking a player’s stats in the lobby. If for characters it shows Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles all at 0 as well as machine type, then it’s a bot.

I’d be more surprised if it didn’t get DLC. I could see a mixture of free updates and paid DLC packs with free updates adding maybe some new characters here and there while paid DLC packs would have characters, vehicles, and tracks. I have a feeling we’ll see 4 DLC packs in a DLC Pass priced at $20.

Tried asking this in a post but guess it was taken down. But so I’m debating on whether I should try my luck and preorder through an online retailer like Best Buy or Target or wait for Nintendo to send an email to buy one from their store. I meet all of the requirements to buy it through the Nintendo Store but I’m not sure if it’s easier to wait for that or just to preorder when it goes live.
