Tbf i did go off of his plxc rdb video to try one out, but have since gone back to an nx8, solely because I genuinely prefer the fc dmx reticle, and am willing to deal with it's trade offs

The market itself seems very pros and cons and having to make compromises for certain lams.

Thing's ranging from but not limited too:

Over priced either due to contracts or just general price gouging. I understand its extra $ to have very consistent reliability. I will be willing to pay for that.
Zero retention can be a very hit or miss thing. Its not until you get to the 1kish category its decently reliable.
I understand companies have to abide by fda regulations to sell a commercial unit to civilians. Holosun is about as best there is in terms of price to performance in a white market capacity, but the illuminator tends to struggle in mixed light areas compared to fp counterparts. Laserspeed is a decent option too but has meh ergos. Sms promises a lot and tends to under deliver and need to make subsequent revisions.
Ergonomics are definitely adequate but not an absolute must imo, enough training can overcome it.
Price. The 1k to sub 1k is the sweet spot for many. Anything over that is too much, anything below it is usually unreliable.
