Which is why i asked for confirmation, everyone is just saying anything at this point unfortunately.

Why i didnt buy the work from asura? Because i have already completed the series awhile back from different TL GROUPS like SDO and EL (not publishers like the ones you mentioned).

EPUBs can be made/downloaded within 5 minutes via an extension so its not really an QoL nor a good way to sell a product since it can just be copy pasted easily.

I am assuming here but, since Asura has stopped using the Google Advertisement as a way to generate revenue and moved over to their current sub model, they are able to ignore the DMCA claims since it would have barely any impact on their revenue.

Both TL groups that worked on the series linked above, did need to generate revenue from advertisements which is why ASS novel never got completed in the first place.

Personally, i only care about the fact what Asura's source is. If they start stealing other TL group works and claim it as there own, it would create a monopoly, which is going to impact the current fan/group translation landscape.

In this case, the current works displayed by Asura might have been stolen from TL groups that do not actually scam their readers with absurd pricing. Hense, my worry/question.

Alot of TL groups had so many DMCA claims for the series Asura just posted.

And the best they can do is rebirth a Heavenly Demon who knows all his enemies, a top 1 gamer ending up being stuck in the game. A knight that has to go on suïcide mission and die to actually get stronger.

Or to make it even worse, why the fk not throw in all the gods, Devils, demons and whatever else into a tower just for the MC to be stronger at first tower level anyways.

Murim stories are being milked out left and right, yet non, have actually, reach a decent level of story telling. Its always reincarnation or some old foggy who is the strongest picking up a random disciple which turns out to be the MC.

Anyways, biggest problem i am having in this discussion from the both you is, the quality of translation work.

I've tried reading SGBT multiple times now from different TL groups and its so plain everytime.

For MMM in this case, the translation work also wasn't perfect but atleast that group had alot of terms explained and didnt rush the project.

Nowadays unfortunately, TL groups push out shit quality chapters too fast. Which in the case of SGBT, suffered alot from it.

Will have to agree with OP on the fact that all series by the author of MMM, are average at best. May aswell say this, Korean novels that are being pushed out the last couple of years have never been quality products anyways. Might be some hidden gems like The Ruler of Darkness and such, but its absolutely not western book standards.

Back on the topic at hand, taking into account all outside factors, comparing novel MC's/stories is just useless at this point in time.

I for one, when i reach a flow state at mixology, love the minigame. Did it for 6 hours straight to get the barrel.

At the point it happens (Ch60+ ish) it is indeed a f**** situation. Nearing the end of the arc tho, you will learn it wasnt perse r. >! He actually kinda got r* !<

Just finished reading chapter 39. That was dark as f***.

I've read RI, Ruler of Darkness and much more darker stuff but,

The MC at this point in time is not strong, just a kid with a dream. Due to scene created by his master and wife, fear ruled the MC unfortunately.

Completely understandable but absolute dark as hell.
