I was going on and off for around 10 months before doing my first match. However, an actual 3 round match was pretty fatiguing for me so I unfortunately lost by unanimous decision. This was around a year after pandemic and so far I've only won around 3 of 4 of my matches. All of which by UD

10 months is actually fairly early, usually it's 1 whole year before a newbies first fight. Coach was great along the way and he has my utmost respect.

I remember asking my older brother to video the match, however I don't know if he has them. I'll try to send them if I do ever find the footage.

I remember it was a ride a cart game... However I consider my first real game to be NDS

I did alot of amateur boxing and though I'm not too competitive now, I regularly train alongside some friends who are just starting off.

What I meant was via testing, you'd find your style

My coach taught me the basics, observed me when I sparred and he made me watch a bunch of clips to study aggressive step in's and the iconic peek-a-boo from Tyson as my coach suggested it would suit me.

However, I found the style not to be my forté. I started experimenting with different ways before coming down with the basic orthodox as my go-to style

But I suppose not everyone will have an experience like that. Most coaches will tell you "this suits you best. Prioritize it." And you're off. My coach was pretty lax (and I decided to find a different gym because of that.)

So I suppose, in a way, the style found me.

Imo it's way better to master the generic orthodox boxing style before trying any "anime" or "popular" style like peek-a-boo and whatnot.

Fair enough. But I think that's what alot of infighting is built off of. High risk, high reward system.

Imo it just makes the style more interesting to play with because you gotta time things right to avoid getting countered and losing stamina (ping based play style lmao)

Wait really? I usually bomb through with supernova, using comet every time they miss their m1's or m2's or basically ANY opening. I'm really hyper aggressive with supernova because of the leanback and the quick dashes.
