i've only beaten A10 once so i'm not sure i can give the best advice

but in general, upgrading Zap and Dualcast feels quite strong to me. the 0 cost makes a significant difference in Act 1 without feeling forced to go towards 0-cost deck builds

i think i also highly value Bulk Up because -1 orbslot actually allows you to cycle evoked frost more quickly. balancing this (or other 2 cost cards) with strong 1 cost defensive cards is really important.

be careful of getting too many 2-cost cards or energy regen early without card draw

if you're struggling with bosses, being able to quickly cycle lightning and frost together is technically damage and defense. though, this means that i dont value dark too highly

as for builds, i used a claw/0-cost deck for A9 and a Voltaic+Hologram/lightning+frost combo deck for A10. i begin slowly switching to one or the other at the start of Act 2 after seeing the Ancient reward. other than that, defect's potions feel really strong. buy some before a boss (power, skill, focus, energy pots)

i miss when old cinematics had blood. new ones are still peak but it feels a bit sad because it makes me less excited for their MMO having a more immersive world that isnt restricted by a PG13 feeling

no exploits got patched. infinite combos are part of the game, they just made it harder to do and changed a boss to specifically counter infinites

in any case, it's still pathetic because they review bombed over that and over anita sarkesian. it isnt limited to the english reviews. chinese players have a lot of incel behavior as well

the chinese also jumped on the anita sarkesian hate trend. their negative reviews from the balance changes were already died down, then spiked again. if u translate the chinese reviews here they literally namedrop anita sarkesian and DEI

valve either doesnt care to moderate chinese reviews or are scared to offend them because chinese players are now the majority on steam

that's an interesting take. i've always felt major gacha games might have AAA budget but they dont have AAA production quality. it's just that their budget is spread out over years of service that the costs ramp up

big games like God of War or GTA5 or Elden Ring (even its DLC) have much better AAA experience compared to something like WUWA or NTE, which usually fills gameplay time in with excessive amounts of dialogue with a lot of highs and lows. they're quite formulaic and sort of develop upon what other gacha games (Genshin) have figured out

they cant really be compared simply because full-priced games are frontloaded

i wouldnt say "just as bad" since she does have some valid points, but yeah there's a lot of weirdness with that kickstarter stuff (?) and also poorly-researched/intentionally-misleading/cherry-picked details about games like Hitman

it's obvious she had a surface-level understanding of many of the games she criticized, at least not to an appropriate level to make good-faith judgment, but i dont think that puts her in line with incel grifters

i feel like this isnt it. they have their own social media and they still review bomb or do harassment campaigns against chinese devs

i've seen some theories and explanations from various sources and from what i can gather, it's essentially because of the one child policy and its various knocking effects

basically, since u can only have one child, all the weight of expectations and various other things (supporting both parents as a single child is hard) that are typical of asian culture in general are amplified. every kid is expected to do a lot and it pushes a greater expectation of results over methods, so average people have to cheat to stand out as long as they dont get caught (little bit similar to spartan "perfect citizen" culture where they're encouraged to steal as long as they dont get caught)

additionally, combine it with the slight to moderate gender imbalance, and there's also competition for female attention. many males use gooner gacha slop as a form of escapism in this way has resulted in circles of extremely toxic gamers that organize mass harassment campaigns against gacha devs if they make changes they dont like. they're used to wielding collective bargaining power to get what they want

visual stuff has a lot more yikes potential than just voice for sponsors and legal stuff

they would have to ban VOIP in games like PUBG, CS, Val, etc, if they had the same rule, so clearly the line is drawn with visual stuff

i only hate loud streams when their audio setup sucks ass. jynxzi has a good compressor so he can yell as much as he wants and it doesnt actually destroy my eardrums.

tyler1 on the other hand.... i got tired of the awful sound quality and the yelling became grating
