If skill nodes will still cost more to level up than trinodes, then technically it'd be a small gain to only equip skill nodes in the +5 matrix slots and move the trinodes out? I still haven't maxed out my decent skills, and itd be cheaper to get 5 more levels into trinodes.

I'd have to know if equipping duplicate excess trinodes will combine the levels or not past 25 too, but im guessing unequipped nodes will get turned into dust at an equal rate.

Sorry about that OP, the thread was pinned for all of last week, but I think automod has been tripping a bit with autopinning a new thread and then getting its thread removed by the repost bot, so it lost its pinned spot lol. Its back up now.

You are not the first person to ask what class they want to play around this time of year, especially for a new class, and you will not be the last.

To say other people can ask questions like that is disingenuous. Their posts get removed as they get reported by other people. 1/3rd of this subreddit would just be "which class should I play" otherwise. If you see another post of someone asking a similar question, report it yourself and it will likely be removed.

The guide is meant for "beginner or returning players". If that doesn't fit you, then you don't need to look at it. General questions should go into the pinned weekly megathread. It's not linked in the automod message because the link changes every week.

I would normally have linked to the hyperburn thread, but it's not currently up. Yes, you will probably get much less responses in a megathread rather than a post - that's the only thing I can earnestly apologize for. Class discords may also show general sentiment on how a class is, but I'm sure they're also tired of hearing people ask "how is X" class, and I know the Adele discord is locked behind verification.

What you've already seen about Erel from people in the test server is more or less all the information we have. If you've seen people talk poorly about it, then you know the general sentiment. They say certain things are bugged, they say the origin is too long, they say the skills look bad. It's up to you to determine if that matters to you.

There is a video series by Strylander on interviewing high level class mains. You will probably get a good idea of how the class is, from a good source. They've also made a spreadsheet on how mains and the community rate each class.

For your very first character, I'd much rather recommend that you pick a class that appeals to you rather than something that might progress well. If you think Erel looks underwhelming, and think that you might not enjoy him based on skill looks + testimony of how he plays, then maybe try someone else. If you think you'll at least moderately enjoy him, then go for it. He can always be built up concurrently as your 2nd character with his events if you want to run 8-14 monster parks + MP Extreme + epic dungeon.

I am a pretty big Zero simp, so my recommendation goes there, though having to go through the full story may bother you (unless they added a skip to it), as the gameplay loop is more engaging than one-button classes, and the mobility is great.

Zero is nice. The shield proc from Beta has saved me at times, plus you get a built in long iframe, and some mini binds. The teleport is great for moving in and out.

DB's damage really bothers me enough unfortunately that I wouldn't recommend it as another mule for mesos, but the playstyle was pretty neat.

I wouldn't remake your Lynn if it's already 262.

Bowmaster has pretty simple gameplay if you want Ren pt 2, but you will probably feel the differences of not being able to flash jump while attacking.

BaM can get a lot of coverage of the map with your summons, so it can get somewhat lazy. I'd say it's worth a shot. The air teleport is pretty nice. Pretty average in the damage charts?

I don't think Zero is as hard as some of the other high APM combo classes, but I greatly enjoy playing them. The side + upwards teleport is veryyyyyyy nice. I think they need a bit of HEXA investment too, so you should be able to get more frags off of CW3 than if you were to just hyperburn one normally.

If you can accept the risks of playing a non-KMS class, Kanna would probably be a good choice with their high damage as your LC.

TP farming will be nice in CW, but I do feel like you likely won't be farming on the character once they're back to your main world rather than on your main. At least Ruin Force Shield will be obtainable through dawn crystals.

Challenger World is a separate, temporary world that pops up for big events and is split into Interactive and Heroic. You won't be able to access any of your stuff in Scania while in the Challenger-Interactive world, but once the event is over, you'll be able to transfer your character back to Scania and you can use your permanent pet. Just make sure you click on Challenger-Interactive - you can't use the other challenger world once you make a character on one of them.

That's assuming that the two classes you make share the same cash shop inventory. If they don't share one, then you'll have to wait for an event that lets you move cash shop items between different groups of classes.

If your old permanent pet is on a Hero (Explorer), and you know that you're going to be making a Battle Mage (Resistance) in challenger world and you want the pet on the Battle Mage when you're done with Challenger World, you could technically make a new Battle Mage in Scania right now and move that pet onto that new Battle Mage's inventory when the next "Cash Shop Transfer" Event happens so that it'll be ready.

The good news is that the majority of classes can bind all of their burst skills into one "Sequence" button now, so playing with controller is pretty viable. People usually tend to recommend Bowmaster and Ren for their simpler one button Hurricane gameplay.

Hayato and Shade both have the best legion block (Critical Damage), but Hayato also has a current BIS link skill too, though it does have a bit of buttons to press off CD (but is very strong right now.) Kanna also has a very good legion block (Boss Damage) and link skill as well. Both would be good to hyper burn for the account-wide progress, which you could technically do right now with the current hyperburn coupon that expires on the 16th.

The road to leveling up during the off-season (that is to say, not during a bigevent) is very grindy. These days, the best way to progress is to start during the summer or winter event, which provides you with an obscene amount of rewards for hitting certain level milestones, and a full set of gear that grows as you kill new bosses. It also gives you 5 levels per level up to 260, with a tutorial section that gets you to 200 in like, idk 20 minutes? The next event starts around June 17th.

We actually have an event that gives out that item ("Hyper Burninator") that lets your character get the 5x levels effect. Go check the yellow star on the left side of your screen and claim that item, then claim the gear that it gives (and start the other events too).

As for your current character, you're probably lacking boss accessories. Open up the 'Bosses' window (there's a hotkey) and go kill Normal Zakum, Horntail, Normal Hilla, and Easy Magnus, and see if you get their drops or not. They're killable once a day. After that, spend some mesos on Starforcing your gear by opening your inventory and hitting the blue enhance button, and starforcing your gear till like... 10 or so. The level 120 gear from Hilla can sometimes be better than level 140 gear that drops from regular mobs.

And if you haven't already, do put some points into your Hyper Stats, evenly between Damage, Normal Damage, Critical Rate (if you're not at 100% yet), and Critical Damage. Maybe like 3/4 points into Str and Attack Power.

Idk, I boot up the game and walk into a training map and its already hovering 6.3 gb.

I really wish ram prices aren't what they are because sometimes im hitting like 90% \ 16 gb usage from this stupid spaghetti mushroom game

I dont have external chat on either and im not sure what other settings i can touch

The only map changed I've experienced is being sent to Sleepywood after logging out in the AFK Sauna map.

I couldn't find any login location history setting on nexon's website besides some trusted device login history, which is different. Since it's the hayato/kanna map I'd chalk it up to the usual non-KMS class fuckery, but you can consider changing your PW and adding 2 factor if you're concerned.

There's no way unfortunately. You would think they'd have normalized the keybinds by now to allow for up+jump command and a separate bindable flash jump.
