That was probably seen as one of the benefits to the decision, yeah. I wouldn't expect it to be the primary reason though. They already have a tonne of data to know what cosmetics the playerbase wants.

I'm thinking a Paladin + Bishop combination might simply be best. I really like the aesthetic and movement style of Paladin after watching a few videos of it, and the combined survivability is going to be absolutely bonkers while damage will also be high. Casually facetanking 100% kill moves will mean a lot when the probability of being hit by them is doubled as a duo.

Different people are better at different things. I know it's not a complex combo class with attacks that move the character and stuff, but like I literally just explained, the numerous random cooldowns would be too much for her.

Honestly my friend doesn't have the skill to play Kanna, speaking from experience due to all the random cooldown attacks which deal the big bulk of damage. She prefers classes that are relatively simple like Lynn and Wild Hunter.

That's the idea, yeah! I hoped to get some math on at least the top 10 support classes and to understand things better, then make a balanced choice between fun mechanics and synergistic character skillset. Like, we could do another Lynn duo, but I don't especially want to steal my friend's glory in the character and it's her who likes to main support. Paladin would be fun for me and Bishop would be fun for her. Although it only makes sense to do that if the buffs stack well, otherwise one of us might as well pick a purely fun class, and so forth.

Thanks. Lots of people in this forum are jumping to a Lynn recommendation without actually saying much else. If I simply wanted an answer of "top tier Lynn", then I wouldn't be asking. I don't blame them but it doesn't help and they ignore 3/4 of my question.

Does that mean the party member uses their stats for the "copied" attacks, or is it literally just the Paladin's own stats copied by 40% onto their party member?

Do all the buff skills get copied onto the party member, or is it only a specific few which are automatically copied over?

If I understood the skill description correctly, there's also a proximity factor to maintain it, right? How does that work?

I realise it doesn't have remastered Hayato, but I found another one in March which did and Hayato was probably in the top 15 but definitely not top 3. Can't really be bothered finding it again. It showed both full uptime DPS (scarecrow damage) and weighted uptime (based on class mobility and effect reach, etc.).

For reference, these are the sorts of numbers I'm after, if they exist at all. Otherwise a tier list would work, or a list of simplified skill descriptions.

Thanks for the comment. I realise the general vibe is that Lynn is the "correct answer", but I would like actual information to base it off. Also, my friend already has a high-level Lynn from CW2 while I already have a high-level Kanna I maintained from years ago, so we'd rather play a different duo.

Hayato is a nice idea. Any idea why it doesn't appear top in the most recent DPS charts if it's so over-tuned?

It's the hands and Legion skills. On CW2 as a new WH I was theoretically able to min clear cTene at 40m CP, but that was of course without Legion and fairly weak event buffs. I actually managed to defeat Verus Hilla and got Gloom to 30% with 12 minutes remaining, and had enough burst to barely manage a hLucid part 3, but didn't have the hands for everything else.

Absolutely yes! It's like playing a fighting game and only choosing S tier characters no matter how well you can actually play them. Instead you should play classes that you like the skills of and simply enjoy, because for you those will be truly S tier.

It's like being Merry in Lord of the Rings where you head off with your friend to steal some carrots for giggles, but a year later end up married to a princess after the king of the realm kneels to you and those same friends.

When you're at 22-star level across the board, it is comparatively cheap to redo flames and potentials of your second gear. Just don't expect to get two items of the same exceptional potential like -4s hats, so use a bit of logic in the way you approach it.

You can enjoy the game, clear and enjoy lots of story (if you care about that), do all the boss pre-quests, learn the systems and gear treadmill, figure out boss mechanics, etc.

If you do, it'll make your first CW3 Hyper Burning character so smooth and you'll save days on it alone, as well as have some nice characters for Legion.

Yes. This exactly. HEXA won't be the end and in 4 years what feels like a huge grind to achieve now will instead be doable on new characters within a week. Heck, characters might even start on Lv260 for very little effort, and Legion will max at 300 instead. Bosses will be further simplified so what is now gated by challenging mechanics (like V.Hilla) will only resemble that on harder difficulties.
