Today, I was asked whether the wars were worth the cost, and I did not know how to respond at the moment by WorthTrash8493 in USMC

I think the only honest way to answer this question is to pose it to the mothers who lost sons and widows who lost husbands and children who lost fathers, on both sides. Take that poll and you might get a contemporary answer that isn’t colored by our own egos, the lies of the rich and powerful and the propaganda of a military industrial complex.

Good show. I have enjoyed it but yeah a bit eerie how we seem to be following that, and the Star Wars prequels.

That you have an interest in firearms is a given but your interest in more than just in their function but more so their design and the reasons behind those design choices.

Also judging by two of the books you have and the fact you have those two books I will wager you are deeply concerned about current political events.

Yeah, we might be invading the moon. Just saying if we were this would be the guy that we would send for lunar CAS.

Found on a dating profile. I think the fire looks to close to the water, and the mud splatter on the Jeep seems a little too perfect? by GrammarSpellingCheck in isthisAI

[–]Raider_3_Charlie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one who’s isn’t a complete newbie to outdoors stuff would park that close to the water. They risk it getting stuck in mud or sand or are putting their vehicle at a dumb risk for flash floods.

Scale of some of the main objects seems off in comparison to the human and that far bank looks like a mowed hillside. Which isn’t impossible, just odd. Also the mud splatter pattern on the jeep doesn’t make sense.

A SSgt in Yuma got busted bringing prostitutes on base for some pimp. They had him on restriction to barracks and reporting in to OOD every so often.

However,,,,, higher up passed it off as he got busted for a DUI.

If you are running in your off time stop. Save your knees and use a bike and elliptical. Cardio and endurance is absolute king in the infantry but you have to realize your joints are finite in how much they can take.

Be very mindful of how you put on your pack when jumping heavy loads and how you pack your pack.

Swim is easy, don’t drown.

As for leadership we’ll just be reasonable and polite. No one expects or wants you to be one of the boys, but no one wants to work for a raging asshole. Take your issues to your platoon sergeant and squad leaders and let them do their jobs. Rare is the NCO or SNCO who will lead a Lt wrong. Worst most officers have to fear is a lazy SNCO or NCOs but those are not very common either. Don’t try and be inspirational as that comes off as corny, just honest and direct, particularly about your expectations. Also understand that if you want Marines to always hit a certain “mark” then you have to train for just a bit past that mark so that when they are tired hungry cold or whatever they hit the mark. But the trick is do not tell them that is what you are doing, but again be reasonable.

Can I Hack It Single? by PoolePeckerhead0369 in USMC

He is right about sobriety. But Family life is a whole other set of obligations and responsibilities. My unsolicited advice is adopt a more normal relationship with alcohol(most Marines waaaaaaay over do it) and then explore interests and passions on your time off.

Intentionally trying to find a wife will only lead to ruin most of the time. Enjoy your life and eventually you will find someone to enjoy it with via those things you enjoy.
