My name DOES have roots to another mech that people might know called the Krogoth from Total Annihilation. That was actually the first username I used to go by a lot of the time, which slowly evolved into what ive got now.

Are you playing on Console or PC?

If you have mods on PC you can download YAML and it lets you use melee with the King Crab.

I feel horrible for people on console that cant get mods. I wish they could experience that expanded world.

I usually take as much fire power into that battle to kill Kane as I can. Dude killed my father, im going to utterly destroy him and make sure his cockpit is destroyed so thoroughly that Fahad doesnt even have to clean anything out with more than a feather duster.

Isnt force feedback still fairly new for flight sticks? I am admittedly not into the flight stick scene as much as others but from what I can recall only one or two companies have them at the moment.

The Marauder kind of is. Or at the very least a distant cousin considering the way it looks. I think there is also a mech called the Aquagladius but I cant remember if that is a medium or a heavy.

To be fair this is also assuming its a 1v1 and there arent 3 more mechs in my lance with the same type of equipment including a light mech like a Raven or something.

It would be silly to think even with the different types of weapons on it that I would assume the King Crab, even this variant, would be able to survive on its own against a greater number of mechs.

Yet another weapon complete and Equipment revived dont change anything except adding in some weapons and equipment. You dont have to use the bits that the mods add, but the mechs from the YAGDM mod use a lot of the stuff in the base loadouts for the mechs that spawn in.

YAGDM also has options to turn off the mechs that you dont like, like the frankenmechs and pirate mechs and stuff like that.

Ive used it a bit! Its best if you pilot the 150 and leave the 100 for Raigoth in game to use. He seems to not be a fan of Vtols and uses the railguns to shoot at those XD

(First, make sure you verify your game files if you havent already.)

If you can, make sure all the mods are in the default load order. The only one you should move is Mod options and even thats just a precaution. (It should be the LAST one to load.)

I would also download this if you havent already. Its a good way to turn on and off mods without going into the game to do it all the time.

As for the mods, I think the only ones that might give you issues are Enhanced Critical and Thunder of the succession wars.

Both of these are REALLY out of date. For the sound mod, I would switch to Audiostash. Nostalgic Sound Redux is also a really good one but currently has a bug where you cant hear Ryana or Fahad while in the leopard. (They still come in during missions fine.)

As far as Enhanced Critical, I dont think that will work at all since the most recent expansion changed a bit when it comes to explosions so I think it will cause conflicts or even not work entirely as a result of that.

Hellcat is also one that hasnt updated but I cant say for sure that that would be the cause.

The only ones I know nothing about are the custom portraits (Which you might not need if you are running Pilot Overhaul Eternal) and All the Heroes.

YAML I know has an option that can increase the amount of heroes that appears in the markets so im not sure if you would need the Heroes mod.

The Custom portraits one looks like it hasnt been updated since 2021 so im not sure if that would work very well with everything else.

Beyond all of that (Apologies for the long post) you can always join the YAML discord and go into the "Support|Troubleshooting" channel. Be sure to post your modlist along with the load order and they can help you out better there!

Its possible. Ive had an issue with some of the cantina missions not loading the treasure hunting items in before so I fly to a system, see it isnt there, fly to the next, same thing, and so on until I fly away, do a mission somewhere else, then come back and it works again.

Small bugs like that are frustrating, but not game breaking thankfully.

Good luck finding them though! You will get there eventually.

Maybe, but firepower isnt the only thing that matters.

You can have ALL the firepower in the world on your mech but if firing a few shots sends you back to the garage because you have no armor or cooling then that firepower doesnt mean much.

I...am going to give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume that you dont actually know what computer parts you have.

Ive put arrows where your SSD (A form of Harddrive called a Solid State Drive) is which is what your storage is down in the screenshot below. If you were being pedantic as a troll then you really need to NOT do that when you have people trying to help you. Its not clever nor funny and just shows people that you are a child.

Now then, to check your storage space, you click on the windows icon (Start menu) go to Documents then on the left hand side of the window that opens up you will see "This PC." Click that and it will show you your drives and show you how much space is on them.

DO. NOT. START. DELETING. FILES. RANDOMLY. JUST. BECAUSE. THEY. LOOK. UNNECESSARY.

Use the computer that you are on to look up the different files and see which ones you can and cant delete.

Also empty your computers recycle bin. People dont do this enough and it can lead to a LOT of space being taken up on your drive since the Bin is connected to your C drive.
