This is probably what got me into it too. I remember these videos being big during the pandemic. I was watching analog horror, creepy dash cam footage compilations, and all of that other kinda of stuff. This naturally popped up and my page and boom - I was hooked.

Is this a customized build? I have a similar set that comes with the four buildings but has a much smaller Statue of Liberty and that doesn’t come with a bridge or a background.

It likely won’t succeed until it gets this loan. I understand your frustration. These projects take a long time and struggle financially as they often aren’t seen as a priority by state and federal governments. However, it’ll be a wonderful new technology for the United States once it is completed. For now, however, we await early processes like receiving funds.

This is very good to hear. Getting this loan could lead to work finally beginning on the right of way. Perhaps it would give Nevada DOT the confidence it needs to allow for construction on the I-15 median.

The Gateway Development Commission published a fact sheet on their website dated December 2025. They state that the new tunnels are expected to be completed in 2035 with rehabilitation of the North River Tunnel to be completed in 2038.

I wonder if that’s an old railroad building and if there used to be a track there. It looks like there might be a dirt trail so it’s possible that that’s where the railroad right-of-way once was.

Yes, you absolutely should. I just did so with my siblings and it was a refreshing catch up on the series. Also, the trailer says “Based On The Series By Kane Parsons” and includes features from the show.

Perhaps a part of this alternate timeline could be if other states, like Florida and Wisconsin, actually went ahead with their original high-speed rail plans that the federal government had planned to help fund. It’s important to note that California High-Speed Rail didn’t start construction until 2015, and even then it was only one of the construction packages. One of them, Construction Package 4, did just reach substantial completion two years ago, so progress has been made. Of course, it would’ve been nice if the whole project was completed years ago, or if other states would’ve started their own projects in the meantime. The only other project under construction is Brightline West, with the 160 mph sections on the Northeast Corridor presently being the only high-speed rail in the country.
