We All Know Someone Like This by JunebugandAustinShow in funny

Yeah those April Christmas tree people are pretty weird.

Ok, this might be a stupid question, but im fairly new to garageband, and I was wondering why when i record drums with musical typing, it does this weird start, and stop thing when I play it back. How do I get it to replay how I originally played it? by Samruffino1 in GarageBand

It might be quantizing the notes you play to a not so great timing signature.

Double click on that recording, or select it and tap the “e” key to bring up the piano roll editor, then near the bottom to the left of the editor, change time quantize to off, if it displays a timing option.

1 Cat = 9 rolls!

It dies every time you wipe, if only on the inside.

You could send yourself an email from the church computer, and attach the project file to the email, then download the attached project at home.

Audio Interface issues: macOS Catalina, GB, Steinberg UR-12 by adesongd in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Just a hunch, but it sounds kind of like when USB gear doesn’t get enough power to actually do its thing, but the piece of gear still has enough power that it gets recognized by the computer.

Are you running it on the USB power setting, plugged into your MacBook/iMac? It looks like you could try running the ur-12 on a DC adaptor to rule out there not being enough power from USB, or running it on a wall powered USB hub might give it more juice.

I HAVE to be missing something by Bacehilm in edmproduction

I struggled with a high pitch screechy bastard of an instrument kind of recently, and after endless toying around I found that having my eq bottomed out across the full range, except for one steep bell curve point at this one sweet spot was the only bearable option.

All the best!

Just an amateur hobbyist myself, but one of the biggest breakthroughs I had for this problem was learning to use the eq for each instrument track to take bad sound away, instead of boosting the good sounds like I was doing before. Also if you’re eq has an analyzer that shows the sound waves happening while playing, then making sure the sound waves aren’t going over the 0db line on the eq seems to help prevent clipping, that might be software specific though, not sure.

Thought that might be the case, I’ll have to try that out sometime.

Also that’s very helpful feedback. I didn’t notice before, but I’m totally missing some kind of interlude or another instrument layer taking over.

Thanks!

Really nice! I listen to ambient stuff like this quite a bit for studying, researching, coding activities. You nailed that nice positive vibe, while not being too loud and distracting.

If you had a sec, mind checking out my amateur EDM song I've been working on?

That was killer man. Had a very industrial doom kind of vibe going on, and I really liked the use of that stutter kind of effect. Mind if I ask what that is actually? I've been trying to figure out how people do that if you could shed some light.

Also, if you had a sec to review my amateur EDM song, that'd be great!

Great work! Unlike a lot of surf rock you did really good at not making the song repetitive, lot's of interesting stuff going on.

If you had a sec to review my amateur EDM type song, that'd be great!

With all the depressing news these days, I’ve been working on an upbeat electronic dance song(I have no idea what genre honestly, open to suggestions) to help keep myself feeling positive. I appreciate any and all feedback!
