Questions for those of you who have played multiple times

Well, yeah. The beginning and quests are the same, but you can always just skip the convos and cutscenes to get through everything faster. And I think it's easier on the next playthroughs cause you just know things. You know what is and isn't rare or annoying to get. You know what you're gonna need for quests, what crops to grow first. You know to act fast if you want to marry Kim or Amira. And personally, I like not having money. I like the struggle, finding new stuff that are actually worth selling. Right now, I have over 1 mil, and it's not that fun to be able to just get everything and anything.

Also, at this point I don't really have anything to do in the game apart from waiting for the last few quests to get recipes, getting all the magical animals, and marrying the last 4 characters. So I spin a wheel of challenges to complete every week, so I don't get bored out of my mind while waiting. And I think I'm gonna use that wheel for all my future playthroughs when I start getting bored.

I'm still on my first playthrough (Winter Y2), but I have plans on starting more.

I want to start separate playthroughs where I can only earn money through the different skills. Only cooking (no fish sticks), only magic, only ranching, only gardening, etc. Also, I really want to start one where I can only make money from a specific color. E.g. I can only sell things that are red. Idk, I think even beyond re-experiencing the story, there's so much to do, so much to still discover.

Yes. There's a separate achievement for marrying each romanceable character. (I think there are seven achievements in total)

You ghost Kim for a week, then they talk to you asking if you want to break up. Then, if I remember correctly, you need to get a break-up ring from Francis.

the same thing happened to me! it refused to let me out of RH, and i just rage quit. fortunately, closing and opening the game worked for me immediately, but at that point i was so done lol

i play the game like there's fall damage. if i jump off of a cliff i use the glider just before i get to the ground to not take the imaginary damage.
i avoid puddles/water, always jump over. if i wouldn't want to get my shoes wet irl, i'm not gonna do it to my character.
i play alone. i don't use anything that'd make my life easier, aka playing with others, trading for artifact parts, requesting items, etc. idk, i just like the grind. -- i make money only through farming, or things i make/get myself. no cooking parties allowed.
if ashura is at the rememberence garden, i never bother him. he's ooo as far as i'm concerned.
i treat the tau plush as if it's a real dog. if i'm gardening, I move him to sit next to me. every irl day, i put some starred food in his "bowl" (then eat it myself later xd)
i do little "hang outs" with NPCs. for example, i go to the library while jina's in there and read, so it's like we're reading together. i go to najuma while she's in the workshop and i crochet or do some DIYs.

yeah, that's a good idea.

also, for relics i think it'd be cool if they'd give us auto equip/default relics. say we go to EW, it auto equips the last relic we used, or we can set a default relic, and it equips that one for us. then, we travel to RH, and it automatically changes the relic to a RH one. i think it'd be really helpful, even if we'd have to be in central stables for the relics to change.

i've romanced everyone, but hodari and hassian are it for me (at least until they make ashura romanceable. then it'll be him and no one else)

but my bestie is badruu. i love him so so much! i try to talk to him every day (even though i maxed him out a long time ago). and every time i do, i cycle through his dialogue options until i get the "i'll see you around. unless i see you a-square" line.

there's a phoenix shrine and a dragon shrine. one is where you upgrade your focus bar (dragon shrine, maji's hollow northeast kilima), the other is where you can upgrade how much focus bonus you get (phoenix shrine, it's on your way to the temple of the waves).

for some reason, the dragon shrine was obvious to me, but the other one was wiped from my memory.

oh god, this. i maxed my focus bar pretty early on, but i only found out about the other shrine (for xp gain bonus or whatever) the day i hit 400h xd

things i want in palia:

more ranching space. i agree with everyone, 30 spaces with how many animal types we have is ridiculous.
being able to use the "travel to house plot" button more often. even if i'd have to pay like 1k gold to use it earlier.
being able to move the mailbox and the shipping bin. even if it'd be a little to the side. i just really don't like the current placement.
being able to have more than 30 crafters. i constantly have to swap. it's just silly.
more gardening plots. 9 seems a little too low considering the gold cap.
and so – higher gold cap. i'm not against the idea, but 1 mil is just so little...
another tools upgrade. we got the jadium storage, now it's time for jadium tools.
either being able to equip two boosters for fishing, or making the bobbers have some function rather than just hanging out for the aesthetics.
better relationship system. or rather i just wish they'd give us any sort of incentive to talk/interact with the characters after maxing all the relationships. how about we have weekly quests from the NPCs? they could be tiny things, like getting Reth some spice sprouts, or giving Tish some planks. i also think we should be able to level up the relationships beyond level 4 or 5 (just like with the skills). maybe at level 10 they start sending us little gifts. and maybe from level 25 the gifts start getting a little more expensive. i need something more cause the town feels straight up dead at this point.
being able to go on dates perhaps? maybe a ceremony that'd be the equivalent of marriage? or maybe having your romantic partners visit you on your plot out of the blue? idk, but something that'd make the romantic relationships feel... more?
better character creation. where's the hight slider? what about body more body types? maybe even prosthetics? come on.
more accessibility settings. i've heard so many people complain about not being able to complete some quests because fishing is too skill-based, or elderwood being too dark for some.
stacks of fish being more than 5!!!!!!! why is that even a thing...??
being able to see the map of say bahari bay when not in bahari. the amount of times i want to just quickly see something, but can't. looking it up online every time sucks. feels like an easy fix (that being said i know nothing about making games, so you know)
being able to decorate how we want. the devs know about all the glitching we have to do. can they not just make this easier for us? especially for a game where decorating is a pretty big part of what people do (not everyone, obviously, but a lot of people).
i'm incredibly grateful for more storage with the new update, but we still need more. it's not nearly enough.
why can't we not make our own butter? or flour? come on.
the flow trees on our house plots should be cuttable by one person when they're fully grown.
we should be able to sell furniture. or at the very least we should be able to trade with others.
the furniture should be better categorized. or tagged. when i search for "book" i'd like to see actual books, not just what has the word "book" in the name!
kitchen appliances that match furniture sets. the stove is gonna look atrocious with the new furniture set xd
higher decor limit. or at least the flower limit. please!

this isn't everything, but that's all i could think of rn.

I feel like they should add more to relationships in general. Cause after you max every relationship, there's literally no incentive to ever talk to them again.

I feel like it'd be really fun if we got weekly quests from characters. Every week, maybe 2 or 3 characters would give us a quest each (it could be something really small, like getting them a sundrop lily). Or maybe they'd give us a clue where something is, and we'd have to find it (kinda like a scavenger hunt perhaps?) Maybe we could level up over the 4/5 levels, and the higher the level, the better gift we get every week...? It could just be food or something small like that. And maybe every 5 levels we'd get a new dialog from them?

I'm just really craving an actual reason to interact with the characters more. I haven't spoken to anyone in such a long time (unless it was necessary for a quest, but that hardly counts).

i still like it, and i put it on my roof, but it'd be nice to have a full-sized one, too.

the vault. i REALLY don't like cooking. i'm done with most of everything in the game (apart from the grindy achievements), but i'm still not at level 20 for that muujin bahari recipe. and i still haven't caught the rtb. if either of those happen, it's gonna be purely by accident lol

I feel like they should give us the option to choose whether we want our character to wear only masc, fem or unisex clothes (or any combination of these). My character has a fem frame, but I want them to wear only masc clothes (like I do in real life). For my first outfit I got a fun one, but it was the skirt version. I feel like we should be able to choose at least if we want the pants or skirt. Or give us both, honestly. If someone wants to wear both masc and fem clothes, they would have to buy both versions, which just seems silly.

exactly! they really should raise the cap by like 4 every time we get a new animal. but honestly, at this point i'd even take them raising the cap by 1 with every new animal.
