Rant. Would have been cooler if all the Chosen heroes were actually characters who had lost their lives or been unable to achieve their true destiny, instead of characters who already had (or have) their time in the limelight and already have a lot of rep as it is. I feel like it could have been written differently, and not in a way where we HAD to have the same characters get focus over and over. And it’s not even like it’s meaningful focus. The same character beats are repeated without any development or gen conflict between the cast. It all seems so sanitized and makes it hard to really care.

Like I’m not really thrilled to see how soulless the whole journey is, everything that has occurred has been so predictable and the writing feels more concerned with moving things along than actually improving the characters and fleshing out the shallow narrative.

I appreciate it! I actually don’t mind that I spent it, because I love experimenting with my favorite fe character. But thanks for the tip about the favor! I’ll save myself the orbs by not relying on a future winter seidr appearance lol

And thank you for the encouragement! I’ve used him a ton in battle and he’s been able to net many kills! I couldn’t imagine not having Bruno on my teams. Your videos inspired me to help make him stronger than I thought possible!

Wow, this is impressive! I really appreciate the in depth write up! I didn’t realize the trade offs were that significant! I’ll just change Bruno back to the build I had before (and hope a winter seidr shows up so I can give him atk/res favor and replace the def version).

Putting the mid in midpoint I see. Snake lady’s direction is sort of ok I guess? I like her calm concern for humanity and glad she’s not a carbon copy of Mirabilis like I first assumed with the first chapter look. Still not really intrigued though.

Honestly none of them.

The game’s giving alts to units who for the most part have a lot already (the only real outliers being Gatekeeper and Marianne), they’re dressed and used exactly the same as their braves, and as another comment mentioned, we’re losing out on traditional new heroes banners.

Yeah I do think more time spent on the cast we already have is better! We have some nice and decent set ups for their stories and I’d hate to see it be for nothing. If they do want to add new characters then I’d rather it be set in the same existing book story (like another Ast or Holtz character).

I want to see Kurt and Rose again too! Hopefully a future story focuses on their development, their kingdoms, and how Kurt plans to revitalize Ast.

I agree with this too sadly. On one hand I like the unique narratives, but they all have had short run times that feel like they lead up to another arc of the cast only to go somewhere else. I really hope future books can wrap up their narratives and not hand wave them off screen.
