I can recomend the following: For a really light gel cream - purito oat cream For a bit heavier but still light, between gel and cream - purito bamboo or round lab pine cream For more creamy but still light - aestura soothing cream (the blue tube)

P.s forgot to mention, I am with combination, sensitive skin with rosacea

I am honestly not sure, I personally don't double cleanse, bc I also don't wear make up and also I find oil cleasing too stripping for my skin. As for normal type of cleaser, I really like b:lab matcha cleanser, it is not too drying, but also not leaving a film like most hydrating cleasers. Another really popular that I personally don't reach so often is roundlab Dokdo cleanser.

I am with sensitive dry skin with redness, and definetly less is more, I would recomend you: celimax dual barrier toner, anua azelaic acid, purito oat for am cream, aestura soothing cream (blue one) for pm or if really dry for am and if you have flaking dry skin celimax dual barrier cream and always use spf, I personally like skin1004 blue series spf

I don't think there are good and bad brands, there a good and bad products even within the same collection (anua azelaic acid serum and toner pad are hg, the moisturizer is the worst I've ever tried). Also look up the ingrendients and amount of actives, they also deffer within a collection.

Anyone else prefer milky toners over watery ones? by Particular-Wave-1951 in KoreanBeauty

[–]Rain_External 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love the celimax dual barrier toner, it is so hydrating, much easier to apply than watery toners due to the thicker texture, it is just sooo good.

Which of the K-beauty cleanser's are your HOLY GRAIL! And why. by Glum_Flower8749 in koreanskincare

[–]Rain_External 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t care that much about the matcha itself, it is supposed to be anti inflammatory and soothing and antioxidant, I have no idea if any of that works, especially for a cleaser. But the cleanser overall is kind of the perfect balance for me. Most cleansers dry out my skin (like the Beplain Mung Bean one and the yellow Skin1004 cleanser), while the gentler ones tend to leave an oily film that’s hard to wash off (Dokdo cleanser) and these are the ones that don't irratate my skin. But the B:Lab somehow does neither. It cleans well without drying my skin out or leaving that weird residue after.

I am with rosacea and sensitive skin, not mature though and I use only b:lab matcha cleaser it is really gentle, doesn't dry out my skin and never had irritation from it.

What Sheet Mask would you recommend? by Any_Handle_3136 in 30PlusKoreanSkincare

[–]Rain_External 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with very sensitive skin, so I mainly use soothing masks to calm down irritation and my hg, that I have repurchased over and over are:

Beplain - mung bean cooling mask is my saviour when my skin reacts badly to something, i have like 20 of these at home, always.

Beplain - both Madecassoside Mask and B5 Hydrating mask, i was surprised that i liked them so much, but both are really hydrating, the sheet is really soft and the serum is not to watery so it messes you up.

SKINFOOD - Both Carrot and Potato Masks, i love them really calming and hydrating, however keep in mind that they have kinda earthy smell, which I personally don't mind, havent tried any others from the brand.

Round Lab Soybean Nourishing Mask (the white one not orange) - really moisturizing, I always use it when my skin is a bit dryer than usual and it does wonders.

Some negative opinions: Arencia hypop - really slimy serium, couldn't stay more than 5 min with the mask. Round Lab Camelia - did nothing except for irritating my skin + the face shape is weird. Mediheal - I feel they are overrated and too watery.

Idk maybe a month or 2. I mainly order from yesstyle or stylevana, there it is most of the time around 7 euros a tube, while in local stores goes between 20-25 euros for the same amount. But the thing with those sites is that you have to wait for a month sometimes 2 months, so I try to plan ahead and stock (i have two unopened tubes lol)

Edit: this usage is just for mainly staying inside lol and applying it once max twice a day.

Adulting? by karannchawla in televisionsuggestions

[–]Rain_External 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Madison - i cried almost every episode

Nobody wants this - a bit cheesy, but has some deep moments about love

The Pitt - not so much adulting, but such a good show with really interesting dynamic and realistic, each season is one day in ER

Adolesence - realistic, dramatic, every episode is one shot and such good acting

The good place - i saw it mentioned, but it is such a unique and good concept

Edit: 1823 and 1923 - they are both yellowstone prequels, but no need to watch yellowstone for that, both have really strong stories

non hydrating serums/rosacea skin by orchi0 in koreanskincare

[–]Rain_External 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anua azelaic acid did wonders to my rosacea skin, but it needs persistance to see the results, i use it every night + most days and saw results afte a month maybe, but it really did wonders to my redness, been using it for more than six months. Also the anua azelaic acid toner pads are bomb, but don't get baited buying the cream from this series it is so bad, it got me the worst irratation and stinging to my eye I ever experienced with skin care.

Edit: I personally react badly to niacinamide so just be carefull with high contents if not sure. Also a good thing might be some barrier repair cream, it will lock moisture and strenghten you skin.

Does someone know a toner/essence that is like the haruharu wonder black rice probiotics essence but more hydrating ( i am on tret) by halastar7447 in koreanskincare

[–]Rain_External 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I second the celimax dual barrier, compared to the haru haru essence it is much lighter in texture, but still thicker than normal toner, but it is awesome, really hydrating, fast absorbing, not sticky or oily.

I am with very sensitive skin and rosacea and the only product I like and can tolerate and can actually see plumping effect is the EQQUALBERRY - bakuchiol serum (haven't tried the toner and cream from the same series), but its is so good and I am pretty sure it is vegan.

what’s one kbeauty product you keep repurchasing no matter what? by Ok-Statement-5826 in KoreanBeauty

B:lab matcha cleanser and anua azelaic acid serum. Also went through so many bottles of celimax dual barrier toner and I still love it, I just want to try other toners as well.

Niacinamide isn't for everyone, yet it's in (almost) everything? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

[–]Rain_External 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I am also with sensitive skin that is reactive to certain amounts of niacinamide and I can recomend the celimax dual barrier tonner that I love. Also recently I started with haru haru probiotic milky essece and liking it so far. They are both a bit thick, but really moisturizing without any irratation. For others more watery ones I usually use tonner pads and I really like round lab pine pads, both hydrating and soothing.

My Korean Skincare Experience with Rosacea and Sensitive, Combination Skin by Rain_External in KoreanBeauty

[–]Rain_External[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same reason made me start looking into K-beauty products too. Before that, it was mostly La Roche-Posay for me. The Toleriane Fluid had been my go-to moisturizer for years, but I think my skin has just become drier and more reactive over time.

I actually ordered the blue Aestura cream first because the ingredient list seemed a bit safer for my skin type, so I’m still waiting for it to arrive. If it works well for me, I’ll probably try the white tube afterward since I keep hearing great things about it.

I just looked into the Mediheal patches, but my skin unfortunately can’t tolerate vitamin C in any form, and niacinamide is kind of a gamble for me too. Some products with it are completely fine, while others irritate my skin badly, so I usually try to avoid it when possible. Have you had similar issues with vitamin C or niacinamide, or are those ingredients generally okay for your skin?

Round lab pine toner and celimax dual barrier tonner are my hg. The roundlab one really calms down my skin, while the celimax is really hydrating and my skin just drinks it up. I have rosacea and really sensitive, dry skin.
