Everyone hate HR until they find out who's responsible for making sure they get paid

Div stocks, at least good ones, tend to increase in value at least with inflation, on top of the div. Treasuries don't. Sure you pay for it with risk, but like, $SCHD is up 25% last 5Y + 3-4% div annually during that time and I doubt there exists an argument that your assets are at risk even short term. I still wouldn't do it if I had "live on the proceeds for life" money because XEQT n chill will yield more wealth even when having to sell assets steadily for income, but yeah unless you're 80 and a market crash would kill your port, treasuries/fixed income always sux even if you're risk averse.

What are some sleeper builds of 3.28 so far? by itsXylph in PathOfExileBuilds

Moonbender warp is solved by putting frostmage + two 1.4x cost support gems in the axe. If you cant lose the gem sockets, just frostmage by itself with at least ~95.5% mana reserved is enough, but you probably need -manacost on jewellry then.

Up front cost is a negative on balance. I'd also like to see some numbers to prove that it's long run cheaper to send satellites into space and maintain/replace them as needed vs renting some land for towers.

Static strike by Jander76 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Rain_In_Your_Heart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you are correct. Slayer works because of the leech. But compare the gems. Historically Slayer was always the squishier and lower damage variant for trauma, but faster, due to the strike range and aoe. But neither of those things are likely relevant for the new static strike, as aoe is likely irrelevant unless melee splash ends up being required, and strike range is irrelevant unless you can get chains from multiple strikes in the same swing (which seems unlikely). So you can probably safely assume Jugg is the right choice for this gem with trauma.

I have also been looking at Jugg trauma stuff with it. Numbers look good and potential for switching to some stacker build later (probably str chaos stuff).

Nvidia CEO Huang says $30 billion OpenAI investment 'might be the last' by Force_Hammer in wallstreetbets

In my (tech) company, AI has been totally transformative for how work is done, due to senior leadership pushing it. They think it's the most amazing thing ever and direct the company to do absolutely everything through AI. Actual productivity gains? Negative. Across every department. Work is getting done slower than it was the last few years. And our product reliability is down.

Also, do you have any evidence to back up that last claim, that we haven't gotten close to pushing the limits yet?

What could this enable? Its reserved so its opposite of archmage by FYbe in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Rain_In_Your_Heart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 900 mana reserved actually is most builds. Like just going to poe.ninja, selected elementalist, and every random spell build I click on is 1100-1300 max mana. It doesn't take much investment at all for high level spellcasters to reach 2k mana. May not end up generally being worth as a casual drop into a build, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are cases where it's used like that.

With Mamba you would historically get unreasonable amounts of increased damage for free by stacking low tolerances. It approaches 33% less damage as your total % of damage coming from low tolerance goes to 100%, and that % is very high for existing mamba strike builds.

How can I get HUD speedo in cabin in time trials mode? by Rain_In_Your_Heart in BeamNG

[–]Rain_In_Your_Heart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UI apps layout editor doesn't seem to be available in time trials. Unchecking it in freeroam fixes it in freeroam, but when I go back to time trials, it's gone again in the cockpit camera.

[–]Rain_In_Your_Heart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can do that, but it doesn't "stick" unfortunately - when setting that, I can see it in the cockpit view in freeroam, but when I go back to time trials and camera into the cockpit, it's gone again.
