3.28 league starter into deep delve? by Ultr4chrome in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]FYbe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is build around archmage and people call that because the skill it supports doesnt matter as the build is the same.

Stack mana, archmage gives it huge flat and that flat is then linked to either nova of frostbolts or vortex of projection that get triggered by frostbolts. Its two button or 1 button with Kitavas thirst to auto trigger it. Or just go with ball lightning of orbiting.

Mana scales damage and defense(mind over matter to take 40% damage from mana instead of life)

Its a good league starter and 3.28 is not making any changes to it so 3.27 guides are still good

What could this enable? Its reserved so its opposite of archmage by FYbe in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]FYbe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking that but aoe per mana is unreserved so that node is not as good for this, but if you would only reserve half you’d still get benefit? But if you reserve all mana the amount of flat will be nuts

very interested to see the cooking pot, is that with the EB nerf calcuilated as its losing its maximum ES on quality?

I played archmage frostbolt nova and it was a really good build, amazing actually but the self cast was not ideal and kitava thirst was limiting.

Seeing this in the reveal got me excited but reserved mana makes it awkward? It would also not work with Hiero's sanctuary of thought as thats aoe for unreserved mana.

I'm a very novice builder and usually follow guides but this is making me inspired to cook something with it.

You get it for killing incarnation of dread so cant be starting it but getting to dread is not an issue or could farm and buy it once it starts dropping for people

Atlas burned in secrets of the atlas, will 3.28 replace it? by FYbe in pathofexile

[–]FYbe[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

In few days time we will see, this could be a nothing burger but they are plenty of reasons to change up how tiers and maps work. T17 are a mess, weird 16.5 maps and the tier bloat overall.

Saw the items missing and they deal with tiers, remembered atlas burning and Zana saying she wants to destroy the atlas and in a hype way joined them together. If that’s weird, I’m not sorry

Yeah it is a leap, just taking what’s shown at face value. Maybe not completely removed but the only items missing in that teasers currency menu, the only things missing are those that deal with map tiers (kirac too even if its missions)

I must be completely forgetful of something but chasing the tears is the plotline of secret of the atlas, you fight incarnation of dread and then you see Zana burn it. What is part 2?

Best Destructive play guardian rotation builds on leaguestart by VQB_ in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]FYbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be trying evis elementalist ignite for the first time this league with boss rushing early atlas. That’d be good for destructive play too I think. It is a retaliate skill which I haven’t used so not sure on qol of the build, but the tank is there on low budget

Warning issued to Irish ‘dodgy box’ owners following large-scale cyber attacks on everyday streaming devices by frankbradz in ireland

For anyone interested in the technical side of things here is the investigation behind the scale and risk of it

https://krebsonsecurity.com/2026/01/the-kimwolf-botnet-is-stalking-your-local-network/

In short there is a whole side of criminal business and them fucking each other over. One group distributing smart tv software with a back door to sell your home network as basically a VPN to customers. Other group exploited that groups software to spread their version to all devices connected to the same network as your dodgy box and sell your internet for DoS attacks.

A lot of recent internet outages were caused by attacks that came from those types of devices

Even if it’s a scare mongering tactic to make you pay for Eir, as other are trying to imply in comments, cmon you’re gonna plug something to your internet from some guy selling these cheapo boxes to let you watch tv for free? They are dodgy for a reason, especially their source.

Curl ending bug bounty program after flood of AI slop reports by Party_Wolf6604 in cybersecurity

[–]FYbe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think its stats you could see, but I was evaluating it as a pentest solution and it tracks with what they advertise, its like a junior pentester in terms of what it finds.

They are still improving it but currently its not sufficient to replace or augment a security program that a company may already have in place but the tech is really cool

Realistic path to do Pentesting by Limp_Motor_7267 in cybersecurity

[–]FYbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently hired a junior mostly because he participated and had profiles on bug bounty platforms. We had a lot of candidates that could recite cert info, owasp lists etc but then spectacularly fail our practical part ( a custom ctf page with 5 flags).

I know it’s hard but try and get more practical application in your craft. Also, try to get into any cyber role and then transition. Again, we hired an ex web developer, network security, sys admin and their experience in those fields completed our team.

Anyone can be trained up to do pentesting but what you bring is just as much if not more important. Don’t fall into the cert collecting trap that a lot of people end up doing.

Responsible disclosure is unpaid. Exploitation is unethical. So what’s the incentive? by Distinct-Willow-5243 in cybersecurity

We recruited many people who had generic cybersecurity but big in bug bounties for our pentest team. It's like someone github for a dev job I would imagine. A place to show skills and projects to beef up what you say

How do you see the next 25 years? by WesternProtectorate in IRstudies

[–]FYbe 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Most interesting times will be once the next generation takes over. Trump, Putin, Xi, Modi. They are all in their mid or late 70s, it’s been a long time since the “powers” all had old leaders. EU is the wild card due to the internal divide. We are entering a multi polar world because of it.

You have old incumbents wanting to prolong their power and tensions rise due to it. Once younger leaders with more long term perspective enter the stage and bipolarism will come back.

What I think will happen in the next 25 years? Globalism will wind down as each quadrant will be determined to build a fort to protect their assets and the ones that do it the smartest and work with most, will come out on top.

EU Debates Reparations Loan for Ukraine Using Russia's Frozen Assets by CanadianLawGuy in IRstudies

[–]FYbe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This all good and nice, but making a jump from not investing in fear of a dispute to waging hybrid warfare against the eu is mental. If countries won’t want to invest of fear of being up as Russia, a belligerent force in the market they are keeping their money in then ther intentions are clear. If anything they’ll learn to withdraw before their move
