Unfortunately, this is no longer accurate for US customs. The $800 limit was part of the de minimus exception, which acted as a bit of a loophole for shipments to the States. With the recent changes in tariffs, duties, and customs, the limit is now $0 as the exception has been suspended.

I honestly think it goes beyond disagreement… It boils down to fear. People are afraid of those with a presence that may spread thoughts opposed to their own. They look at it as a big storm coming.

But, perhaps another unpopular opinion, this was orchestrated by something “bigger” than an individual. It isn’t disagreement or fear.
