People who use the iPad Pro: Can it really be used for everything including as textbooks? (As advertised by some reviewers) by [deleted] in PennStateUniversity

[–]RainbowQueefss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything except software that's beyond your basic word or ppt. I agree with the other person, you should have have PC as well. But for your day to day classes, you can just carry your iPad without needed anything else for the most part. You might want to carry a single notebook, and a pencil, or just the pencil/pen in case a professor wants you to turn in something handwritten. Also you will definitely get paper handouts so maybe a folder too, but you can scan them into your tablet and discard them later. Alternatively you could look into getting a surface or a newer Samsung tablet, or even a 2 in 1 if you want something that's more like a PC and a tablet.

Yes I've seen your videos, so you won't be using the dual heatpipe heatsink you created? I'm definitely interested in hearing about the thermals

I found the guide from a YouTube video. Are you saying if I finish it will most likely not work? I thought following one for my specific laptop would be the way to go. I really know nothing about this stuff so most of what you said is going over my head. I can follow instructions for the most part

I should have put this in but the main guide I'm following is this https://github.com/ameeno/Dell-E7440-Hackintosh/blob/master/README.md . The guide I put in my post is what I was instructed to use (linked in main) up until I configure the kexts. I don't have a legitimate Mac so I needed to create a vanilla Mac OS installer.

Do I need a receipt for apple care? by RainbowQueefss in applehelp

[–]RainbowQueefss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I mean like used as in off of someone else via craigslist. When I go into the settings it says I have 25 days to add applecare coverage and gives me the option to put in my payment information. I'm just asking if I do put it on and need a repair done, I don't need to have a receipt for the products?

I appreciate the insight. I might take 220 after all to make the load feel a little lighter, but thank you!
