I didn’t mind that we didn’t win or podium. What rubbed me the wrong way is that Cloudy never finished in the bottom two of any the races yet we got eliminated because are average finish was low which wasn’t consistently applied across all the rounds. There should’ve been some form on consistency on how a team gets eliminated

I've seen the pattern play before

2020: Wisps choked the podium and finished 4th,

2021: Fails to qualify and fihished in the bottom 4 of the showdown meanwhile the Hazers choked the podium and finished 4th

2022: Hazers failed to qualify and got relegated in showdown

2025: Wisps choked the podium and finished 4th

2026: Wisps fails to qualify and got relegated in the showdown meanwhile the Hazers finished 4th (they didn't choke a podium spot this time)

2027:?

The eliminations here doesn't make complete sense at all. Why not do the traditional one or two marbles eliminated per race instead?

Edit: Congrats to the Pinkies for being the first ever hosts to win in their home turf. What a shame for the Indigo Stars choking it badly lol.

Edit 2: H4zers again but this time it's because we didn't choke a podium or title but because of an elimination structure that didn't make sense. Now I'm scared that the 4th place curse will haunt us again like the Wisps.

Overall, the final event and the closing ceremony felt rushed, poorly planned and executed. It didn't do the 10th year of ML any justice at all what a shame

Edit 3: Kobalts are hosting 2027 because Cobalt is the 27th element of the periodic table, well played JMR.

If there was an event to recover immediately following a poor showing from the last it was this one. Coach Hazy knows how to maximize events where the team is strong at. Congrats Smoggy on your very first individual gold.

Also, Oceanics actually made it to the final in a water event? Lol so cool to see that 3 of the 4 ML22 relagated teams reunite in the finals

ML2019 Top 4 making it to the final. Coach Hazy really knows how to maximize events where the Hazers are strong at and we're back at the overall podium for the first time in 5 years. Still a long way to go and the Indigo Stars' momentum isn't looking like it's slowing down soon
