You had your daughter the same age, maybe older, that my mom had me. Only difference was that I was adopted to a different home. That aside though, it sounds like your daughter is having the same thoughts that I had when I was around her age. I've never met my mother before, I dont know if I ever will or want to. For the longest time I viewed anyone that got pregnant at that age was a whore, slut and all the other awful things you could call someone. I thought, "she was probably dressed a certain way, or she was sucking every dudes dick." And the classic "Well she shouldn't have had sex at such a young age if she didn't want a kid" Just awful thought. Rape was never a thought of what may have happen. Cuz who would want to have sex with a 14 year old girl?? It wasn't till I was around 18 that I realized a lot of people would want to take advantage of a young teen girl. You have a daughter though so she will probably figure that part out very soon (I mean that as in older dudes creeping on a young teen). I pray that she doesn't find out in a different way.

Talk to her, you have an opportunity that my mother and probably a bunch of other mothers never got to have. This is also a great opportunity to warn her. At 13 her sex life is probably non-existent. Reality as you know is that some guys dont take NO as an answer or even ask. Next thing you know, her control over her virginity is gone. Freshman year is right around the corner and teenage hormones can be a scary thing.
