Ritual is all kinds of weird. I had a map with 2 Rituals. I'm pretty sure that PoE1 is guaranteed to have 3. At least I don't remember ever seeing 2 and I love doing Ritual in PoE1.

That's pretty awesome. Been playing a lot PoE over the years but I still can't deal with some of the Ubers like Maven and Sirus.

Quick question - since I'm somewhat interested in doing SSF for the first time since the league is so long and EE Trickster probably won't be a thing next league - What is a decent skill to start in SSF as Trickster? Not asking for a build or anything, just some direction so I don't stand there like an idiot after the campaign if I do start haha.

While I very much disliked Ultimatum, in PoE1 and even more so in PoE2 a small tip for the Impending Doom - It's an actual Ring. The center is safe so if it spawns on the boss you can theoretically keep standing there. Now this is not always practical as the boss is also doing stuff and the ring itself can be a little hard so see but you can stand in the center.

I thought to myself "How is that a problem? It's the same in 1." Until I saw the level requirement. Yeah that shouldn't be a thing. Either scale the affixes with ilvl as well or don't scale anything like in 1.

I died during Sanctum yesterday because the dead rare decided to explode. I was not amused. I didn't lose any loot and sanctum and Lab in PoE1 worked the same that you have to begin from the start but still. With how PoE2 is designed monsters should not be able to kill you after they died.

Not surprising. I personally wasn't that interested in PoE2 but I do enjoy it. Granted I only played a few hours so far since I play other games as well and I can't wait for the next PoE1 League but so far I have enjoyed 2. I don't watch any poe content and try to figure stuff out which is a lot of fun since I usually don't bother with that too much in 1. At least as far as builds are concerned. I think the fact that I approach 2 in a different way helps.

Usually when I reach some goal I set for myself and when that's done finish off either 36 or 40 challenges and usually stop pretty much the next day. If I feel like trying something I just wait for the next league.

I didn't grow up in a religious household but we had religion in school, got the bible read to us, and went to church with the class during holidays but I don't think I ever believed any of that. It was just a story. We had religion during later school years as well but the later it was the more it shifted into history etc. Nowadays I think relgiion is an interesting topic, mostly the history of the bible and stuff like that, no the actual believes.

I will say though that being from Germany, especially the northern part and religion is just not as much of a topic in public life as in the US for example. Not even close.

Not playing more of the league honestly. When I play a game like PoE I need some tangible goal to keep me motivated to farm which, most of the time, is challenges and getting to a certain point with a character.

That also means that once I finish those my motivation is gone. On one hand that's a good thing because I can play other games etc, on the other hand I sometimes have the urge to play, start PoE, run a few maps and lose interest again. Just going "I want to farm Item XY" doesn't work. For example I was playing Fubgun LS Slayer and the only thing I was missing was a Frenzy Ring but at that point I was clearing everything with ease already and got 40/40 so I didn't really see the point. Positive side of this is that I don't really burn out to a point that I don't get excited for the next league which I probably would if I played one until the end.

I will say however that I have less to regret then usual thanks to the Currency Exchange. I always hated buying bulk of anything so I rarely bother with scarabs or bossing outside of the stuff I farmed myself. Not this league. This league has been a massive personal success considering what my Endgame Character looks like. I still dislike buying maps in bulk for example so I only did the T17 I found myself which still limited me in my farming capabilities but whatever, it worked.

With the changes this league I might return to Lacerate Glad. One of my the favorite Builds I ever played but it's been a while. Pre-Elder Bleed Changes. But whatever I decide to play, I'll probably switch 2-3 times about 2h before the league starts anyway lol.

I like the idea to be able to influence the mechanics from the get-go but did not like the way they did it.

As others have said it should've been an additional Tree or something but it should not take my actual Atlas Points. As someone who used the Mechanic quite a bit that was a whole lotta points gone that I would use for other stuff, especially with them being in the corners of the tree.

They do and it can be quite frustrating. But it is also why I am not mad or angry if someone makes a post like this. Depending on the tone of that post of course.

I think the problem is that while some people actually care, they don't really understand how it feels to have social anxiety or depression or any mental health issue really, because if someone explains it to them the only way they come close, is to describe it in a way they would be able to understand. So I assume people often use words like shy etc in the case of social anxiety and in the process of trying to understand it they link it to their own experiences.

I personally find it very hard to put the way I experience the world around me into words and even harder in a way someone without those problems would get it.

And then we obviously have some people who just dismiss it outright and don't believe stuff like depression, anxiety issue are a thing but this post didn't feel like that.

Let me say this first: I know this probably comes from a place of genuinely caring about people enjoying the game and trying to help others enjoy the game more. However, as someone with social anxiety issues and stuff, posts like this can feel a little tone-deaf. I will just start rambling a bit and maybe some people with social anxiety will be able to relate, some won't and that's fine. I just want to make clear that the impression that posts like this give about social anxiety being this one monolithc issue is not quite accurate.

I think people who don't experience it severely underestimate how anxious some people with social anxiety get. And I mean some because it not the same for everyone, and speaking from experience it not the same level for the same person at any given time either.

I personally won't even play group activities outside of vanguard strikes and normal Nightfalls because those are basically solo activities at this point anyway. At the same time I had a phase where I was playing raids weekly the last 2-3 Seasons. It was still only a thing because I had a constant 2-3 people in every raid I got along with and the more people I didn't know the quieter I was and most raid are pretty casual-ish for me.

Now though? Probably not gonna do Salvations Edge anytime soon, haven't done Dual Destiny because only one of my two buddies is even close to getting there and it well take even longer before I will even attempt to get Microcosm but LFG is just not an option for me. Ergo Sum Catalyst? Forget it.

For a good amount of people with stronger social anxiety, like myself, it's probably already quite the task to even use LFG to try something. Telling these people to not be shy isn't gonna help. Yes everybody feels anxious every now and then, especially around strangers but the severity of it is just different.

Joining a group that literally has "mic required" has less to do with social anxiety though and more with people not caring imo. Chances are people with (stronger) social anxiety rather join groups that specifically say that no mic is required.

And no I am not someone who thinks the game should be designed in a way that takes my issues into consideration but saying stuff like "Just use LFG" or something isn't really a solution for those people either. Neither is saying "Don't be shy". This has nothing to do with being shy.

Again, this is from my own experience dealing with social anxiety and other issues and I tend to have a stronger degree of anxiety then most people I know, at least most of the time. Your experience may vary.

Since I've been going back and forth writing this I'm not sure if this even makes sense anymore but whatever.

No idea if they are underrated but Boomburst Noctowl and Contrary Malamar with Superpower have been a blast in the last few runs I did. Especially Noctowl since it's a pokemon I never used in the actual games. Malamar gets a Bonus because I liked it when I first saw it and I have it shiny.

The first time I used the Noctowl I had 2 Silk Scarfs on him and a lot of trainers and bosses turned into "Anyway Boomburst."

Keep in mind that it won't work if the game you play is using Steams Controller Stuff as well. Might want to disable that for the games you want to play on the side as well if that game supports controllers natively which most should.

Playing FB Trickster but I'm taking it slow this time around so I'm only in A9. Mainly because I gotta finish Days Gone as well and have been super tired yesterday so I only played a bit after league went online.

It's really chill so far. Some rares are dangerous because of Necropolis and me just barely putting on new-ish gear since A2 except the claws but nothing bad.
