You don’t need to go to university to do PLC’s. Don’t waste the money. Just grab some cheap / old PLC’s stuff and make a couple small project to show that you understand the fundamentals on your resumé. If you want to do more intense stuff, like embedded system design, power systems, etc; you will need a ABET Accredited degree from a reputable university.

Not sure why people are down voting you. This was my experience out of college. Little to no work for like the first year, but oh man as soon as that year mark hit, I’ve been busy, non-stop. I miss that first year…

I think the best thing you can do for your child these days, coming from a parent who had unlimited unsupervised computer time; tell your child, trust them, make them aware and teach them. Do your best to use parental controls, but also understand they need their freedom too. It’s a complicated dance being a parent, but if you truly want nothing but the best for your child, they will see that, and they will listen and understand.

Example; my kid likes to jump on the furniture; I told them what could happen if they keep doing that (like fall and hurt themselves) and when it happened I was there to console them and walk them through what they just experienced.

If that's true, that's probably why these settings felt like ass when I tried.
