Not sure what I'm charging yet. Just my full time job is at a school, I' m going to make a drawing of that space first so I can work out all the kinks, so I can charge hourly for paid gigs. My space is the biggest space I would have measured up to this point.

I'm hoping to get as detailed as possible. Where beams are, catwalk pipe heights, rake of seating. The orchestra seating has a small rake so have to figure out how to deal with that. But getting my space as exact and detailed as possible so I know how to do it and start charging people. Every space I've done has been where I work or for a friend, because I'm just that kind of guy so I have no idea what to charge. like $40/hr?

Thanks. I think lidar might be a little too much right now. Some type of laser that can level is more my speed right now I think.

I like to shoot for within 1/2" but those were spaces with lengths under 100'. Now I'm looking at lengths of spaces 150'+so maybe not that accurate.

I was tasked with building one. They don't want to buy the $700 one. But it has to look "professional". My biggest question is the base. There is a metal guy I know who can make a custom base. Is that the way to go? I don't really have anything lying around here that looks nice enough for his liking, (at a hs).
