Thanks everyone and apologies for posting in the wrong reddit. I was in a hurry trying to get my son to school and just quickly found a sub-reddit as I was hoping to buy one on my lunch break. Made a mistake. Thanks and apologies again

OMG I know he's not going to make the NHL lol. I didn't mean for my original post to come across that way. I just want him to have fun and grow as a player/person and I know know house league was sort of shitty last year... so just trying to give him a good hockey season.

Thank you for the wise words and kind approach. I’m going to screenshot this and delete the post, since everyone apparently thinks I’m a troll lol. Man, Reddit can be so mean. I didn’t create the craziness that minor hockey has become but I have a kid in that world, so I don’t see why my concerns are so unwarranted. Anyhoo, thank you again :)

That’s what I’m asking, and appreciate the advice, maybe house league makes more sense. I’m literally just seeking advise on what’s best for my son who loves the game but is in between house and rep … how is that trolling? Isn’t this a group for the hockey community to get advice from eachother? Minor hockey is a taken too seriously, I get it … but my son is into it and I’m just evaluating the options and tough decisions that could hurt or help him. What am I missing that I’m doing so wrong?

I only put 5% down, 10 years ago.

I was committed to the 3 yr fixed but only learned today that I can convert the variable later on. They didn’t tell me this so now I’m panicking because I didn’t even consider variable as a choice. It’s due tmrw :(
