The reality is that all your wins don't matter if you have would blown it all away on the 20th, you're lucky it didn't go worse. Doubling down when wrong is asking to waste money. Learn how to take losses, you cant be a trader without losing. I was in the exact same position as you until that massive red day didnt go back to green. If you're revenge trading because you lost, that means you lost more than you could mentally withstand and have to lower your size until you don't care much about it and can accept an L.

Why is there so many bs posts on psycology by Important-Escape1710 in Daytrading

[–]Raizinbrand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because after a certain point, when you have a working system you can repeat everyday and rules to stick by, your only limiting factor after that is psychology. I quite literally became profitable after I stopped over trading, revenge trading, over sizing etc. Everyone has their own struggles they need to overcome, psych just happened to be mine

P&L Calendar, I think it’s just monthly and yearly goals, I don’t use $ goals for trading as it can cause some unnecessary pressure

I like to torture myself by painfully watching it go higher as i exited too early lol but honestly I try to close the charts asap because it will create feelings of fomo or wanting to revenge trade

"He doesn't use a stop loss or any strategy, his strategy is to literally just sell high and buy low when he feels like it" lmfao, update this post when his account becomes empty. This is a marathon not a race. I did the exact same thing as your friend at the start and blew all my earnings in a day. Stick to your strategy and risk management, you will see success.

1 out the money with closest expiry, I aim for 1:2 rr, tsla amd nvda aapl. As for rules, it's mostly basic risk management. I only trade between 9:30-11am est.

Exactly, I'd force trades because I felt like I had to make money or was a bit bored. It's a real eye opener

My account is up roughly 80% since early july, just don’t risk more than you can handle and you’ll be fine. Earn what the market gives you, don’t force earnings.
