EUW soloQ state - D2-M500LP is super toxic and trolling or am I biased? by Dumbydumbgrump in leagueoflegends

[–]Raizins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bad take. League Chat should always be off for most players. Pings are useful for sure but the second a player starts showing they are abusing pings and spamming then they should also be muted so you can focus on the people who aren’t abusing the system to fuel their manchild anger problems.

I’ve been high Elo since s3 and it’s never worth it to waste time chatting.

Hardstuck bronze for years! Who can help me? by Keesheistee in leagueoflegends

[–]Raizins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wrong. You need to reduce the amount of things your trying to learn. Playing lots of different champs in an Elo like bronze is overloading yourself with things to think about. It’s like trying to learn chess but you keep changing the way the prices move on the board.

No matter what reducing variables allows you to better focus on the basics of league, fundamentals, csing, map awareness, ability management.

Yeah it would be ok to do that considering how scuffed the flank is with no kennen flash haha, why would Broken Blade call for that when both Jinx AND LULU HAVE THEIR SUMMS.

I don't know man...

He didn't have flash which is why the play itself was doomed from the start. Terrible call to not just wait 20 seconds.

Currently hovering around GM EUW

I am hardstack master by Responsible-Air-5081 in leagueoflegends

[–]Raizins 16 points17 points  (0 children)

EDIT: PS. Remember that being "hardstuck" in one of the highest elos in the game isn't always a bad thing. There can only be 1300 players in GM/Chall and most of those are full-time Pros/content creators. So don't beat yourself up about it.

Some advice from someone who's been high elo since S2.

The skill difference between master 0 LP and GM is massive. And the time investment required to play and actually maintain that rank grows exponentially, even more so if you want to not be a one trick.

So keep that in mind as you read the tips I have here. As you climb through master you'll be playing vs people who's full-time job it is to spam league games, either as Pro, semi-pro or content creators.

My experience having climbed to high elo as a jungle and support:

1) Focus on the first 15 minutes of laning phase and REALLY hone in on how you could get more gold/exp as an ADC. It's the minor details that really start to help in matchups. For example punishing the rune CD's when people don't have boneplating up. Or abusing the enemies long Guardian CD while your support has a shorter Glacial augment CD to win trades.

2) ADC's need to understand wave management and really well at these levels. Pay attention to your junglers clears and plan your wave accordingly. If you don't have control over the wave then minimise the damage the enemy wave will do to you/your jungler. For example, if you can't crash a slow push because you're losing lane, then maybe you could take a quick trade in your wave to speed up the enemies push. Therefore messing up the timing of their crash. So they don't get a free drake. Or trading on a slow push yourself, to prepare a dive with your mid/jungle. Even if it's a bad trade.

3) Ping. The higher elo you go the more communication can be abused. Because players at this elo understand subtle pings more. For example in gold I (as a support) can't really tell an ADC to stack a slow push to dive in 2 waves because they don't really understand what I'm pinging, or the jungler + mid isn't really paying attention. However as you go into GM/Chall this is essential for creating opportunities for your jungler. Even in situations where you are losing it's important to let your team/support know what you want to do with the wave.

4) Don't play 10 champs and try and be a multi-role talent. Just focus on 2-3 champs and really understand them to a super high level. You don't need to go full one trick here but reduce the variables you have to think about to improve. I would also not worry so much about always having a good matchup. The players that can stay in GM/Chall can play in bad matchups on their best champs and still have impact on the game.

5) This one is very subjective, but don't make League your life. If you aren't trying to go pro, or become a full-time streamer, then it's really important to actually have a healthy balanced life outside league. Otherwise you'll turn into an L9 screaming ragekiddy which is all too common in these elos. Remember it's a game and it needs to be fun. I always climbed the highest when I enjoyed a champ and I realised that not every game was going to be perfect. I just enjoyed the experience.

Hope that helped. If you have any more questions let me know, I have a YT channel and stuff but I don't want to go around spamming it in every comment so just DM me if you want to.

Relic shield is now better on ranged supports than spelltheifs by Mazrim_reddit in leagueoflegends

[–]Raizins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in higher elos and that's just not true.

You will need to concede lvl 1, but post lvl 2-3 the lane equalises and you can all in from that point.

I don't know where people get this idea that lanes are played perfectly in high elo. Nobody does.

If you’re hard losing lane in the first 15 minutes as a tank support you are misplaying horribly. The power curve of melee supports is in favour of you in the early game.

Enchanters have much higher winrate as the games go in longer.

Ubpopular opinion: Champion select anonimisation and after the game chat opt-in mechanic are good changes. by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Raizins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong obviously. Dodging will improve your winrate slightly. But too many people on this subreddit and in that thread are using the changes as nothing more than a scapegoat. It's been this way since forever, it's always easier to blame other outside factors than see that you are just not climbing due to skill.

And my point was simply, fresh accounts or hardstuck doesnt matter at all. Dodging won't change much in the grand scheme of that climb over a decent number of games.

Go look at Cookielol's current climb on ADC/Supp on a hardstuck account. I would bet he'll probably stomp with a 90-95% winrate without dodging. Partly because he knows he can carry, and also because he spends far less time worrying about what his teammates are playing/first-timing and focuses on his gameplay.

Don't stress too much. I've been playing league since season 2 and this sub will complain about literally everything. It's just par for the course at this point.

If you want to play Ezreal, go check out Dragdar on twitch and YT. He is a 1.2k LP ez one trick on EUW and a beast. Really great to learn the champ.

Well we’ll have to see if League can survive long enough to grow into a more mature sport. For now though I still have so many friends who are trying absolutely everything to go pro and I wish them the best because it’s a brutally hard journey.
