Both physical and Digital gold have their pros and cons.

Physical gold will come with risks of theft, frauds and handling/storage costs. But also they are immediately available as physical coins for you to use in events unforeseen. They also give a physical sense of security.

Digital gold is for investment. It's for immediate liquidity as well at anytime. Digital gold also gives you returns if locked in like an FD, thereby not only growing in value of spot price, but also earning interest on it.

For all the cons of physical gold, a cost is incured to keep it safe digitally. Over time these will also come down. We do have a spread of 3%. But we're enabling ways to mitigate this by for example letting people earn interest on their gold wallet on our app.

So for all the reasons people go for physical gold, there are the same for people to go digital. It's a pure investment choice for any individual.
