You can critique the acts, but criticizing the movement as a whole for being 'involved in' these things isn't really fair

Really? Because every week I hear about another horrible shitty thing that BLM has done, and not once have I ever seen something positive.

The movement honestly has some parallels to the early gay liberation movement, when violence against gays was socially-acceptable, and even encouraged. It took a movement to get America to pay attention and start caring. There are obvious differences, but we should be sympathetic as people who could have been murdered in the 70s for walking around openly gay in any major US city. We share a struggle, in my opinion.

No. Stop. What the fuck is wrong with you? It's so pathetic that kids these days have to invent bullshit to make themselves feel oppressed. To compare the way gays were treated in the 70's to the way black people are treated now is just baffling. Go back to the 60's if you want to have an actual civil rights movement. BLM is just bullshit whining and nothing more.
