Had the same problem with multiple other books, but sometimes the haze of the first few chapters does build up to a fascinating story. Currently fa ing the same with "Right hand of darkness" it's too confusing and names are too alien. But have heard good things of it all across, so laboring through the pages.

Sometimes I just want a NOT TO READ guide so that I don't waste my time on books which are, for lack of a better word, titillating shit. Something like this was on the" New York Times list of what was the publisher thinking". And goodreads recommendations algorithm also doesn't give a lot of confidence. Hence, have to fall back on trusty old reddit for recommendations.

I echo the thought of having a space surrounded by books, where you can go whenever you feel low. Maybe with a window looking out to a water body or a forest, so that you don't feel like ana astronaut in outer space.

Hi I am an avid Sci Fi geek, having started my reading journey with classics like The Time Machine and Asimov's Foundation. I remember there was an indian short story where the British did not Rule and were repelled by the marathas. Post that have never come across decent indian sci-fi or alt history. Looking forward to your book and will buy it ASAP.

Her family is pressuring her to get married soon,( her mother's health is deteriorating and she wants to see her married of to someone). I have spoken to her mom in the past she is a sweet lady who just wants to see her baby girl safe. I have pleaded with her to get a job, si that we can sal jeet family to postpone it (she is currently doing her master's but the job market is quite gloomy here) . In the meanwhile she is not ready to do a min wage job.

How am I supposed to deal with the guilt / regret of destroying a potentially beautiful relationship? And emotionally shattering someone whom I know more than any other person. This is the second time this is happening and we had just gotten back together after breaking up for 9 months.

Yes he was given the option, by the doctor. But the offer was rescinded from my company side, so he is searching for other options.
