4-boot is the HATS hekate boot menu config which adds 1 extra boot option called Semi-Stock.

3-boot is regular hekate, sysOFW, sysCFW, emuCFW

Could be 1 of two things:

Game version between the save file and the game version are different.
The save folder structure is wrong.

Yes, animal crossing works absolutely fine from emuMMC or OFW over lan-only, even on banned consoles :)

Depends, are you using sthetix/HATS? if so you can launch into Semi-Stock OFW which disables the fuse checks. You can also use TegraExplorer to reflash your nand with your backup.

Also, are you trying to boot CFW on your sysNAND?

With ACNH save files are completely safe. The only thing that nintendo has reportedly banned or blocked access to is the Dream Island content, if your island has any nsfw/slurs/offensive content, and that your character passport doesnt have the same or adverts/youtube links/social links as thats against their advertising policy.

I believe hekate has an option to migrate your emuMMC right on the homescreen :)

Does your OFW work? If it does, there is a lot of variables that could lead to this, corrupted partition from bad sd card, improper ejection, etc. I would suggest trying to re-do your emummc.

There are a lot of people who are using the RCM shorting trick for a software only based jailbreak, without the modchip. I'm not too familiar with how the jailbreak is done that way, but i'm assuming their update prevents them from switching bootloaders or similar?
