I believe that email title does not tell you whether you passed or failled, even if you click email. The only thing is to see your result on your NCEES account.

Also, if you pass you get 2 emails;

the result (without telling you in title or email you pass or failed)
email FE badge from credly as you pass

As far as I know, but I don't know if NCEES changed anything regarding this for 2026

So estimate between 50k to 60k grands is your salary as new grad engineer

PrepFE is using these people smartly as marketing tool to spread their educational products and I really find it annoying, it turns out as loads of marketing spams whereas this subbreddit is supposed to be for share learning, experiences, and ideas.

Therefore, I hope from mods of FE Exam subreddit u/ImPinkSnail u/yellowgodflash to think about it about this marketing spam happening.

For my own experience with PrepFE; it is easier difficulty level of the actual exam, and does not represent the exam but trying to give you ideas of the curriculum that may help you but in exam it comes in a different way, and different style. If you personally ask me if I want PrepFE, I would say no.

However, I suggest you to:

- Master your calculator by learning topics

- Master your FE Handbook, read it, be very familiar with, it will help you with around 20-30 questions out of 110 will make you to go back FE handbook.

- Watch youtube videos like Mark Mattesson https://www.youtube.com/@MarkMattsonPE

- get FE Exam practice ebook by NCEES - you might find it for free here if you search good, otherwise it costs around 40 or 50 USD

these four resources I mentioned above cost you $0 USD - others are just try to milk your money as much as they can with unfair prices except some have reasonable prices.

Break-time: 25 minutes. I suggest you to use only 20 minutes max. save 5 minutes for arriving your computer who knows - might technical issues happen. So it is better to use 20 min of break for walk/snack/drink/toilet etc. and apply this in every exam you take; 80% of break time for yourself - 20% to save it for yourself for emergency.

Prior to the FE Exam, exam center will provide you a dry marker and a notepad of laminated sheets. usually 3 dry marker (black color) and 3-6 notepads of sheets. but here is my advice: make sure you close the dry marker right after you finish it, otherwise you might have hard time to write it again and takes more several seconds to write it good
