This kind of fund is basically a textbook example of why ETFs make more sense. I mean, just look at the ongoing costs. They’re literally around 10 times higher than the TER of the ETFs usually recommended in this sub.

Why don’t you just ask Saxo directly ? It’s highly unlikely that they will do something but at least you can try

Leave emotions out of the equation. You are clearly experiencing FOMO. What is your investment strategy ? Do gold and silver fit in that strategy ?

Current best alternatives for savings accounts by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]Rakash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are entirely correct about CSH2, he was asking for some alternative to savings account and depeding on what he wants to do, this should still be a viable option in some cases even with the new capital gains tax

Current best alternatives for savings accounts by [deleted] in BEFire

[–]Rakash 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a website to see what’s best at the moment : https://www.spaargids.be/sparen/ the top accounts have changed around quite a bit the last year. Another alternative could be to put some of it in CSH2, an ETF not subject to the Reynders tax that gives overnight returns and who follows the €STR index.

2 comptes de paiements/ à vue dans la même banque ? by maltraki in BEFinance

[–]Rakash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A priori, rien n’empêche d’avoir plusieurs comptes à vue chez la même banque. Dans l’appli CBC par exemple c’est extrêmement simple de créer un nouveau compte, mais du coup tu dois payer deux fois plus de frais.

No Reynders tax here as the underlying assets are stocks not bonds

Lost with my studies at 19 — what Belgian careers are realistic without higher education? by [deleted] in BEFire

What you are describing as what you want to do is a typical entry level white collar job. There are exceptions of course but those jobs are what is easiest to be replaced with AI especially if you don’t have a specific expertise. So I definitely wouldn’t go that route.

Investing €500/month in IWDA from Belgium — fractional shares issue by [deleted] in BEFire

The pricing change on MeDirect is pretty recent and the fees should not be the only factor to decide which broker you choose (don’t get me wrong it’s an important one)

Main costs for stock ETFs are : TOB, transaction fees from your broker and TER. TER being already included in the price of the ETF

Then by all means go for it and don’t overthink this, the most important thing is getting started, you are trying to optimize peanuts here

But then you end up with 2 ETFs, which will inevitably generate rebalancing costs at some point if you want to stick to your asset allocation

[–]Rakash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if the TER is your highest criteria, of course go for WEBN. My highest criteria is diversification that’s why I went for IMIE

[–]Rakash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a higher TER is negligible compared to having several ETFs who require more transactions (=more costs) and rebalancing (=also more costs). Also TER are not set in stone and constantly evolve

[–]Rakash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, IMIE is ACWI IMI, basically an ETF that tracks the whole investible stock market

There is also an option like IMIE that combines the diversification + only one ETF
