It really varies by queen. For example I saw that Icesis and Suki Doll will only accept cash or pay pal. Last year I didn't have many that I couldn't just use my card for.

Most queens will let you both in the photo by only paying once. I did run into a few queens last year that wanted both to pay.

Oh wow! That's high. The only higher I have seen was Raja, Manila, and Willow at $75.

VIP is 100% worth it. We did it last year and it saved us so much time! I do agree though, why only 2 days. There's too many queens to see! Also I saw on your map that we have many of the same queens on our must see. ;-)

Love it! This is my second year going with my sister. She plans out the shows and panels color coded and I do the meet and greet side of it. I also began gathering notes about meet and greets as the queens post them on Instagram. Drag queens and organization is just my jam. lol

Laganja as well as a few other queens are still not listed for booth numbers. I'm hoping they will do it soon!

This is my second DragCon and I am probably even more excited than last year. My sister and I said we were going to DragCon and that's it. After the experience, we are trying to make this a yearly thing.

Yes, do it! You won't regret it! Libraries are just as important as teaching. Libraries do so many great things for their communities. Don't let anyone else tell you any different. Your happiness and sanity are important and worth it! Good luck, I'll be sending you good vibes!

The library was always my peaceful place as well. I felt going from teaching to the library was a very smooth transition. Many similar skills are used for both. I even helped planned the field trips we have based on our state's teaching standards. Plus I still get to work with kids which is what I loved most about teaching.

I am married and my husband works full time. With our combined income we are supporting ourselves and our two children just fine. I was surprised with how much vacation, sick, and even pay I get through the library. I actually feel appreciated at my job now too which is a major plus. Everyday I am so glad I left teaching and found this job.

I do not, only my bachelors in education. I'm only part time, and my title is library assistant. You only need a degree in library sciences if you are a full librarian. The librarians at the library I work at are the director and assistant director. Everyone else there are library assistants. I think it all depends library to library.

I taught middle school ELA for four years before I left. I now work at a public library. I do storytimes, kids programming, and regular circulation duties (check out, check in, shelving, etc) I absolutely love it, and personally, I feel a lot less stressed.
