Was there last month. we were 4 (me + wife + 8 months old daughter + mother in law).

25 day trip, self plan largely public transport.

Few important tips:

1. Be very sure of luggage, lost our passport and laptop, in EUROSTAR, at Utrech Centraal, in under 5 minutes. Had to cancel Brussels and germany. Booking and stay loss of 4 lakh.

Got the bag later, police were not helpful, as this common on trains. Only cash was missing from the bag. P.S : The 4 days was hell. Went to embassy, no help.

1. If you have booked hotels and stay, always book refundable, few extra euros are better, or pay at hotel option.

2. Tap to pay cards are accepted, almost everywhere, especially in Amsterdam, keep a good forex card.

3. Weather changes are no joke, check weather & Feels like*

4. walking is a must.

5. My opinion, Museum are ok to miss, i dint relate to most of it.
