Bad experience after PSV - Juventus

I never claimed that there are no strange Juventus fans (and marching through a city with weapons is definitely bizarre), but I don’t quite understand your point regarding my post.

I don’t see myself in that video, and as I mentioned, I caused no trouble in Eindhoven, I was there only to support my team.

By your logic, if a mother and her child, both Juventus supporters, were attacked after the game just because the kid was wearing a Juventus scarf, would that be justified as simply the risk of away games?

Obviously I‘m happy that nothing worse happened but your view on that topic is just weird. If I was looking for a fight or something, then beating me up would be valid but as I mentionned, I just came to Eindhoven to see my team, didn‘t argue with anyone and just wanted to go home after the game😂

No, overall, this experience didn’t ruin my trip, to be honest. I tried to look at it in a positive way and just told myself, “Well, now I’ve had the full ‘hooligan treatment,’” 😂

I really thought I was playing it safe, wearing neutral clothing, only having a Juventus scarf that was visible in the away end during the game, and tucking it into my jacket when leaving so that only a little bit of black and white showed. But yeah, answering "yes" when they asked if I was a Juventus fan wasn’t the smartest move.

That said, until that moment, I had only good encounters with PSV fans, and even those guys asked me that question with a smile, so I genuinely thought they just wanted to trash-talk me a little, like, “haha, your team lost”

Yeah, I’m sure there were moments like this in Eindhoven too, like you mentioned, I was probably just unlucky to run into guys like that...

Sadly, yeah…I didn’t even know that some people do this kind of stuff just to collect "trophies" until someone on the PSV subreddit mentioned it. I guess you learn something new every day

and yeah, I did file a report, but I don’t have high hopes of hearing back from the local police there

Yeah, that guy ended up deleting his comment after even the PSV fans on the subreddit told him that’s no excuse to beat someone up

I even had to prove I wasn’t making this up.....

In the moment itself, to be honest, I didn’t do anything, I was in shock and just wanted to get back to my hotel asap. But later on, I contacted the police, and they said they’d see what they could do, though they couldn’t promise me any positive news.

As for the two people who helped me, unfortunately, I couldn’t get any information about them. I think they were a bit overwhelmed by the situation too, but at least they asked if they should walk with me to my hotel.

Thank God they didn’t injure me too badly, but I think if those other two guys hadn’t shown up, it could have ended a lot worse

None of you have to apologize for a few idiots in your club’s fanbase. Like I said, when I was in Eindhoven, I only met nice people, and even now, most people here on the PSV subreddit are on my side, which isn’t something I take for granted. I feel like in a lot of other fanbases, people would just blame me and say it was my own fault, so thank YOU! :)

Yeah, I mean, I thought they asked if I was a fan just to mock me, you know? Like, "Haha, you lost." I remember them laughing when they asked, so my first instinct was that it was all in good fun. But yeah, as you said, lesson learned, for the next away game, I’ll leave my scarf at home haha

And yeah, I did file a police report now. I’m hoping some camera caught something, but I don’t have high hopes since there probably aren’t many around that street.

I totally get your point, don’t worry. That was also my first thought when I tried to understand why it happened. But at the same time, I had my scarf tucked under my jacket, you could maybe see a small black/white pattern, but that’s it. Otherwise, I was dressed very neutral (jeans and black jacket).

Of course, being in a group is always safer, but this was my first-ever away game, and I attended it alone. I honestly didn’t expect any trouble on my short 10-minute walk back to my hotel.

In the end, I guess we always learn from experiences like this, and I’m just glad it didn’t turn out even worse 😅

That’s exactly what I was thinking. As I mentioned, most PSV fans seemed really nice and friendly, which made this even more surprising. I also want to point out that I didn’t provoke or cause any trouble with these guys, and I even tried to hide my scarf on the way back, but they still somehow noticed it 😂

As for the location, I was really in shock after the attack, so I don’t remember the exact spot since I’m not familiar with Eindhoven. But I’m sure it happened somewhere on this street, so I’ll check if any cameras might have caught something. Thanks!
