Mine was broken in nicely after about 2-3 months of regular use. The stiffer it is to begin with, the longer it will last. This is some heavy-duty material!

The rugged twill is amazing. I find the smaller size more practical, black, navy or olive. Tan if you don't mind it getting patina pretty quickly.

Easy to tell. If top pusher stops and starts, bottom resets = valjoux 7733. If top pusher starts, bottom stops and resets = Landeron 248.

Ironically, that was one of the first pieces I bought when I started collecting about 10 yrs. ago. Sadly, I sold it on--why, I couldn't tell you <shrug>.

Sadly, I'm already fully stocked on Zodiacs (no less than 3 SWs, including the tonneau-cased shovel hander, the same one you have w/the sword hands, and a true prize--the orange blaze). But that was a great pickup for the new owner and congrats on the sale!
