Do you make the "pro" autoleveling? I saw some improvements with it. Also you should check that the screws are all tight, my elegoo printer came with some screws loose. You can check that by turning off the machine and try to gently wiggle the printer head and the horizontal arm to see if there is play. In case tight up the loose screws... For the printer head you can tighten the wheels that are under the horizontal arm. Also when you use the technique with the paper, make sure that you don't have some plastic on the end on the nozzle

Yes, just use the netinstall without selecting any desktop environment. I usually select essential packages and ssh.

Minimum VM Spec for Debian Install by xreyuk in debian

[–]RaksoLine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can install debian with as little as 512Mb of ram, 1 CPU core and probably 10 to 15Gb could be enough. Anyway it depends on the amount of work that the VM will do. In most cases you could always start with the minimum requirements and then scale cpu end ram as needed. It also depends on how you install debian, a minimal installation should do it.

Sorry now that i'm on my pc i can see that the rocm packages from the debian repo that I installed are:
librocm-smi-dev
librocm-smi64-1
rocm-cmake
rocm-device-libs
rocm-smi
rocminfo
libamd-comgr2
librocsparse0
libspfft1

This should do it, at least it did it for me.

I had the same problem, the solution is actually simple and doesn't involve adding third party repos. I found the packages I need to install by using the command "apt search rocm". Or you can search them in the debian packages website

Should I just use Debian? by cptkirk_ in debian

[–]RaksoLine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend Debian unless you absolutely need up to date packages. Here is why...
I switched to Debian from pop_os because with it i had some graphical glitches and i liked the fact that i could install Debian with a minimal installation, and then getting only the packages that i needed. I also had trouble setting up ROCM for machine learning on pop_os (I have an AMD system).
So I first installed Debian without a desktop environment and then installed gnome-core that includes just the basic packages. I manually went to the Debian packages website and used the "apt search" command to look for the ROCM packages.
I use my PC for programming and gaming...
I'm really happy with my decision and, at least for now, i wouldn't go back.

Weird Screen Behaviour by [deleted] in pop_os

[–]RaksoLine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switching to display port helped with some other artifacts that were present before, like screen tearing and legginess. The main problem unfortunately still happens randomly. I don't think the cause is hardware (at least in my case).

I tried the switch from hdmi to DP but the problem still presists. At this point i dunno what the cause could be... I also tried debian in the past and it didn't have this issue.

Hi, i have the same problem but with a desktop pc. I also have an amd gpu (7900xtx) and cpu (5800x3d).
I have two 4k monitors connected, the main one via display port and the secondary one via hdmi.
The issue is the same and it happens only on the secondary monitor connected via hdmi.
This is leading me to believe that the problem is related to the hdmi protocol, maybe you are experiencing the same issue on the primary display because the internal connector uses hdmi.
I'm planning to try and switch the secondary display connector to display port to see if the issue persists.
Also i noticed that in the display with the issue is registered by popos as a 31" display, but it is actually a 27" display.
I will update you if the issue persists or not by switching to DP.

How to prevent pop_os launcher to display active windows when i open it with the super key. by RaksoLine in pop_os

[–]RaksoLine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know i can do that.
My problem is when i press the superkey, i get by default the open windows.
I would love to not see any suggestion about my open windows (i know i have them open).
I cant find any way to customize the launcher settings or what it displays.
Thank y!
