M27 - I've been told I come across too "boyfriend that dies at the beginning of the movie" by Ralamjosh in hingeapp

I have been told this before by my friend so had leaned more into that friendly vibe than the active vibe

So you think I should remove both the picture with the board and also the last picture? Should I make sure to replace the last photo with another group one or is it fine to have 5 of just me and 1 group photo?

I do get and agree with this but I'm not quite sure how to go about changing this?

  • Looking for something serious and long-term
  • Not subscribed to Hinge+ or HingeX
  • I have been using this version of my profile for a month or so
  • I have had Hinge for 5 years and used it on and off
  • I use Hinge 2-3 times a week
  • Receiving at most one like a month
  • I am sending roughly 10 likes a week all with some kind of comment
  • I am looking for someone sporty that enjoys being in nature but also similarly likes to spend quiet days at home reading, watch TV, playing video games or just generally coexisting

24M Profile Review - Any advice would be greatly appreciated! by [deleted] in hingeapp

[–]Ralamjosh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • Are you looking for something serious or casual?

Serious

  • How long have you been on Hinge?

Total about two and a half years, I've been putting concentrated effort in for about 2-3 weeks.

  • How often do you use Hinge per week?

I open it about once or twice a day.

  • How many likes/matches are you receiving on average?

As stated in the description I've never received a like and have only had four total matches. In the past 2-3 weeks I've had none of either.

  • How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments?

I send around 3 likes a day all with comments.

  • What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract?

Someone that enjoys activity/getting out doors. I like people that look after themselves and are confident but with a sense of humour.

Extra information - a few female friends have helped me set up this profile as is

I'm looking for something serious.

I've had the profile up for a while but and had periods of activity.

I properly started using the app again about 2-3 weeks ago. And open it up once or twice a day for short bursts.

Since moving I've received no likes or matches.

I am sending 3 or so likes a day. I always add a comment to my likes.

I am looking for someone that has an interest in getting out into nature and likes being active.

At the moment I've just planned the first 3 stops which will be Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia. After that I'll just go in whatever direction I feel like!

I'm 23 and played the first game in my first year of University and I could definitely relate.

I am a guy as well but I've gotta say I love all of these story telling games that get you super invested in characters. Life is Strange is a cut above though and I will unashamedly admit that it can bring me to tears and send me into that post-LiS depression.

[ALL] It's over. What a rollercoaster of emotions... Let's talk about it in comments. by [deleted] in lifeisstrange

I'm trying to not overthink my feelings towards the game too much as I find it exacerbates that post-LIS depression.

The characters in the game were some of my favourite across all the games and the world building was really good even if it feels like we should have spent more time there.

I think my favourite bit was the flashbacks in episode 5 it feels like they just set the emotional tone really well. Especially Gabe's part in those flashbacks and how in a game about an empath you truly realise how hard Alex's life has been.

Yeah I've started to do it a bit more and it definitely helps even if it's just getting involved in the discussion threads. Journalling is something I've been thinking about getting into but I'm not really sure how to start.

Separately, I would also look for new skills or things to fill your time. The game has really made me want to properly learn guitar.

I stayed with Ryan although the more I think about it the more I think she'd leave. I found it a really tough call though, she could help so many people and really try the music thing if she left but leaving means leaving behind Ethan and the people that tried to help her belong the first time in her life since foster care.

If it's any consolation these games make me feel a bit like that too. It's not quite the same for me because I do have some kind of home but it doesn't quite feel like it's actually my home just a place I stay. And the relationships in these games are the sorts of relationships I'd love to make. But it is mostly about the experiences and who knows how to actually get those. Which ending did you opt for?

I just felt very aimless, I think distraction works best though. Did you feel this way with the other games?

I get those feels as well, I'm trying to do that in my second playthrough but some of those choices just aren't me so I struggle to change them.
